We enjoyed some sushi on our trip to Okinawa, which is something we’ve never done before. For some reason we chose a place serving the craziest looking sushi creations ever!
I really wish I could experience such wonderful sushi myself. Unfortunately, I'm physically not able to but thank you both for sharing your experiences with us, you have made me super hungry and craving such sushi, the interesting sake too. I may be able to get the sake at least. Just generally, I really love your videos, you guys really bring life to Japanese cuisine through sharing your experiences. Thank you So much, Cheers from Australia.
Wow! Wow!! That Ebi Kani Gassen! I was thinking that the sushi rice might have been mixed with the kani miso. I LOVE kani miso!! Ohhhhh myyyyy goshhhh! The Mt. Sushi! That Toroimo! The sushi chefs are so creative! I cannot stop saying OMG! Umibudo futomaki. I NEED to go there! Thank you both for taking us along on another amazing trip to Okinawa. ❤❤
Wow! Unique sushi! I've never seen anything like it. It's like food performance art. 😊Your "appreciation" faces and colorful commentary on the flavors and textures make me want some right now! 😋 Thanks for another interesting and appetite-stimulating video. ❤
That sushi looks so good. Back in LA now, I miss my family in Japan and all the wonderful food. The New Year osechi, that my cousin prepare was so good. Hoping to go back in 2024.
Absolutely creative sushi that looked amazing! I felt like I was tasting it with you. I can just imagine those textures in my mouth, and I love Satoshi's description. Pickled green papaya is one of my favorites, and pairing it with the young ginger is genius. I'm going to try making it at home. I'm a huge fan of the seagrapes and the fish roe, my mouth was watering from that briny taste they bring to the table. Please do more of these Naha restaurants. Their dishes are so impressive!
Great upload, gentlemen! Worked at a sushi restaurant in Seattle in my college years, and one of my fave items on the menu was yamakake...that sushi selection with the yamaimo and maguro brought me back to that dish. Keep up the great content!
This was indeed very unique. Absolutely piques our own appetites for experimentation and discovering new tastes. One of your more beautiful pieces yet. BTW, re: papaya gari: try look into a Filipino condiment called 'atchara' which is literally pickled green papayas, and resembles Thai papaya salad. You might like it, if not just to have a contrasting taste.
I am an old subsriber to your UA-cam chanel. Probably don't remember me. I spent some time in Japan. I like crazy, and this shuhi is just that. Nice job, stay connected.
Interesting sushi! I am gonna try making that lava sushi roll of tuna, grated mountain yam, ikura and roll of sushi rice... easy ingredients to find here in HI but will make it landslide version, just pour it on sushi rolls, instead of lava version, too much work 😆
You guys really should try Meat Rush too, it's at Yodobashi Camara in Akihabara. It's so good. My fiancee and I are going back to Japan this May and looking forward to eating there again. Last time I got the hamburg steak with ebi, a veggie side, and a sausage with Melon soda to drink. It was so tasty I felt like I ascended to the heavens. I never see any food people on youtube eat there though, but it's one of the best things ever. XD
That's definitely green papaya, it is way firmer, in Venezuela we produce a sweet confection with green papaya, we use cloves instead of ginger though.
The sushi looked amazing, I’m sure it tasted the same. But it seemed quite noisy there. I guess I was expecting somewhere quieter. I feel the prices were very reasonable so I definitely would try that restaurant.
You guys should try shirako sushi, or fish milt (semen) sushi. It’s the weirdest sushi I had when I was in Japan. Creamy white, with a slightly salty and fishy flavor, but rich in taste. Not bad.
Just made a coffee and sat down to watch some UA-cam, then I get a notification the hardest working duo in Japan have posted a video ... PERFECT

I've eaten Sushi before, most weird and most normal.
Thank you for your videos! They are so fun to watch with my kiddo.
Should that be called laviar?

Hearing Incognito being played in the background in a video about sushi makes for a great Saturday. Japanese not only know good food but music too.
Awwwwh Satoshi looked like he really enjoyed that mount sushi one that made my day 😊

Guys, Uozushi is now on my list for Naha!

I want to try sea grapes so bad but I can’t find it here in the US! As always, y’all made me so hungry 😂😭
Too late for sushi but I could pour myself a shot of sake. :) Those are some very innovative sushi presentations.
The Best!!!

It was a party in my mouth and everyone came!

Love your face shinichi when you really like something love you both 💓
Where I go in my happy lucid dreams
💛...heaven... btw, first, you eat with your eyes...
I see sea grapes for the first time. It looks funny, I wonder how it tastes like. Does it pop like caviar?
I can’t believe how reasonably priced everything is.
Mount Sushi is so wild

Looks delicious. 😇👑🌏🌎🌍💚
Aloha & Konnichiwa
I only ever saw sea grapes in Animal Crossing before. I didn't know they were edible! It looks like you really enjoyed them, and everything else. :)
Cannot find this restaurant on google maps 😢 Is it still open? Thankyou

When you say old, what does that mean? 30 years? 50 years? 70 years? Those of us who are older, think 50 years is just "Oldish."
Buddy of mine who lives in Taiwan said he once went to Japan just to eat. At the time I assumed he was exaggerating. Now, I don't think so.
I can't drink alcohol anymore. But that Matcha chuhai looks good.
The boys ate so much they couldn't even eat any more by the end of the day!
🧡👍
How long have you guys been married together?
I still wish there was an "Interesting" shirt
The seaweed in that hand-roll is sooooo weird I don't think I'd enjoy that texture with the popping
