Totally cracked up when you said if you haven’t got a window, you should get one - they’re great. Your humour is so deadpan it’s hysterical🤣. Thought the horns looked fantastic… if you cut the bevel at the tip even more into the centre of the foam would that give you a greater surface area to glue? The thinner material may be easier to form (but not 100% sure about that… it may make it too fragile to work with)?
Glad you liked the horns! Regarding the bevel on the horns, I'm not sure I understand what you are saying... Are you referencing the other horn styles like the ram horns? and making the taper go further back? If so, that could be worth trying, though, like you say, there won't be as much surface area for gluing....
wow, how awesome that I have been wanting a horn pattern for that twisty one, cant wait! Unicorn horns are always fun and now I will need to hunt for a small wheel... :p
The twisty horn is from an impala. I bet a person could make a cool drinking or powder horn prop from these patterns. Or really cool spikes for a dragon. Or a many-horned god headpiece. Or...
For the wheel, would you say that the width of the wheel is good or would it be better if it was a bit wider to accommodate the lower end of the horn and reduce the risk of “crinkling”? I was thinking of maybe making up an STL file with a form that could be 3d printed.
I think perhaps if the top curvature of the wheel stayed the same, but then instead of transitioning to vertical, it continued to taper out, giving support to the thicker end of the strip, that might be worth a try.
This is brilliant! Opens up all kinds of ideas for other complex curves as well. I might play about with making some forms from xps foam and seeing what happens....
I really think it would be quite tricky. I normally use hot glue for most projects but I think this one would be a bit of a nightmare. I haven't tried it though, so it might be possible....
Wow, this is such an incredible build!!! Can i ask you how do you make all your patterns? I’ve been trying to do some patterns for a proyect on paper but i want to use a program or something
Hi there! I have a couple of different ways I make my patterns, sadly, they are all a bit time consuming. The first is to make an actual model of the item, and then cover it with tape to get a pattern. You can see that process here: ua-cam.com/video/bHh8ra8V66Q/v-deo.html That's how I made this unicorn horn pattern. The other way I have made a few patterns is using Pepakura- that gives a start and then there's still a bit of fiddling etc from there... ..
I am waiting for the “horny” comments to start flooding in. This is a great pattern and a great addition to my Ultimate Everything Super Value Pattern Bundle (highly recommend)!
Great results! Unicorns aren't really my thing but gotta comment for the algorithm ✌️
Thanks for the algorithm comment!!
“That’s a pile of horns”.
Love it!
😁
Good to know you're still kicking Chris, sweet build man
Indeed I am!!
Brilliant! A cool new way to make a horn and another super fun video as always. Thank you!
You're welcome!

Hope you can find a wheel!
Enjoyed the vid. Looking forward to some more horn vids!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Such a cute horn. Thank you for sharing this simple way of making one.
You're welcome!

Love those ideas!!
Good to see you back Chris 😊
Good to see you too! I'm not the most prolific, but I'm hanging in there:)
Your tutorials are amazing bro! 🤩👏🏻🎥
Thank you so much!

I'd love to see what happens!
Good idea and fun as always. : )
😁
Do you think hot glue would work at all instead as the adhesive?
I really think it would be quite tricky. I normally use hot glue for most projects but I think this one would be a bit of a nightmare. I haven't tried it though, so it might be possible....
Chris, why is the front grill of your heatgun missing?
Hmmm, it never had a front grill...... interesting....
You're a saint! Thank you!

@@LostWax Thank you very much!!!
@@jnfproductions you're welcome!
Of all the things I have never needed, a foam horn is near the top of the list.
This is perfect. My daughter's birthday is coming up and she wants a unicorn theme.
Nice.
What is the diameter of the wheel you used?
It was 50mm diameter.
Well this is a unique way to make a unicorn horn
So many items I don’t have. 😅

Yeah, I steered away from that one in the hope of keeping all things family friendly, we'll see how it goes in the comments😁
