One of the greatest kutcheris I have listened to, oozing creativity! And I don't mean the structure or format of the kutcheri, which I am indifferent to. For example, TMK stretched, twisted, and challenged my understanding of that particular Khamboji krithi in an absolutely brilliant manner. I am so much better off in my appreciation of music generally because of that. Thank you! Violinist Sampath clearly enjoyed every second of it!
The accompanists are fantastic and an equal match to TMK. Kapi varnam with the clever swarams in ragamalika to reflect the composition were excellent. wonderful Kambodhi. Wonderful artists and wonderful concert.
