thampura artist is to the best always on the stage. they must be respected than the main singer. All players have the luxury of emoting, thampura artist should be blind to the antics of the players deaf to the musical expressions and be unmoved and dumb from voicing expletives and keep the balance and poise through out if doing thala also.

One of the greatest kutcheris I have listened to, oozing creativity! And I don't mean the structure or format of the kutcheri, which I am indifferent to. For example, TMK stretched, twisted, and challenged my understanding of that particular Khamboji krithi in an absolutely brilliant manner. I am so much better off in my appreciation of music generally because of that. Thank you! Violinist Sampath clearly enjoyed every second of it!

Beautiful concert. This is 2nd time for me. First was in January.

Mrudangam artist is good.but his style of playing will not match with tmk. Tmk is not comfortable because of mridangam performance. While accompanying tmk just listen Praveen sparsh, arun prakash,Ganapathi raman etc....

i for one would enjoy his singing more if her performed less....it strikes me, and always has since i saw him as a youngster, as a bit of pomopous vanity....which of the actual greats did you see doing that? (i could be wrong, i nevrer saw GNB in person)......i also feel he needs to rest his voice. it was once so melliflous, and now has this screatchy quality...

showoffish.. soul is missing..he inquires about schedule in the middle of the prayer to subrahmanya parabrahma..hurtful..figure it out ahead of time dude.. btw, if you admittedly donot believe in thyagaraja's spirituality/musical devotion to rama, why make use of his krithis.. just to make a buck for yourself..

Actually, he proves, the revered ARI cutcheri format could be reversed and still be enjoyed! Inthachala as the thaniyavarthana piece is never heard before. :) Why can't! MMI usually didnt sing Varnnam in a concert(there is a recording of viri boni available) as he argued its a practice piece. when its presented in a concert, its no more a practice item, its a concert piece which is enjoyable its own way. then why can't one elevate it to center stage!

i havent heard him singing the magnum opus, subrahmanyaya namaste. he usually sings the other grand one, o ranga sayi. great!
