BAKED SIOPAO ASADO INGREDIENTS,
for the baked siopao dough
- 250m l (1 cup)warm water
- 3 Tbsp sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp dried yeast,
- 400g all-purpose flour,
- 1/4 cup dry milk powder,
- 1/2 tsp salt,
- 1 egg
- 2 Tbsp oil
for the asado filling,
- 2 Tbsp cooking oil,
- 1 /2 cup onion, minced
- 3 piece garlic, minced,
- 1 lbs pork
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce,
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce,
- 1/4 cup brown sugar,
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce,
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper,
-1/2 tsp salt,
- 2 cups water,
- 3 piece star anise
-2 tbsp cornstarch

Looks yummy. Ano po yong egg wash na ginamit ninyo to brush the siopao bago ipasok sa oven? Eggwhite lang ba yon? Ano naman ang honey warm water. Mixture ba ng honey at warm water? Sana ipinakita ninyo ang measurement ng bawat isa. Thank you for sharing.

I love how it is making a bell sound everytime your sandok hits the sides of your wok. I just love the sound it makes. I think it will inspire me more to cook if i have a wok that makes beautiful sounds as I stir the food.🤗

Hi Melvin, thank you for this recipe. I made this today using pork tenderloin and it is scrumptious. Didn’t have to cook it long as the meat is already tender. I ran out of honey so I used apricot jelly instead for the glossy effect after. Thanks again.

Melvin can I make the dough on the Kitchen Aid ? Where can I buy that Silpad with the bun design ? They are cute ! I have a bunch but they are French and no design. With you I will learn to make snacks/buns in America ! In Angola we don’t eat buns baked, we steam them. Thank you ! 🤗

Wala akong Powder milk dito sa Italia karamihan mga fresh milk liquid or long preservative pwede ko rin ihali pag mix Ng Dough ,reply please.
