    I used to be really stupid and believe all kinds of kettlebell myths. Until I was able to tap into the reserves of real experience and find out, that these "online myths" are not really connected to the real world.

    Dear Sir, I've been competing in Olympic lifting and Power lifting for over 50 years, worked as a personal trainer for the last 16 years before retirement and have to congratulate you on the videos you've been producing on this channel. As I've gotten older I've begun to notice that it's time to start training differently. Consequently, I've turned to kettle bell training, which provides a great workout while giving my body a much needed break from the heavy stuff. After checking around you tube and the internet, I have to say that you are the only one I've found that is providing solid, no BS trainng info that is safe and doable by just about anyone. Thanks for all you're doing and keep up the good work. I hope your classy and knowledgeable approach to training allows your business to flourish.

    I’m doing well with my kettlebells (12 kgs, working up to 20 kgs slowly) and thank you for the guidance, and using my own intuition (listening to my body). 💪

    Solid breakdown. This past weekend I coached a couple of older female power lifters on the swing, and ended up having them do a bunch of Dan John-style "Bulgarian Goat Belly Swings" just to grease the groove on the hinge for them and minimize injury risk.

    Just signed up for your free course last night. Been doing a kettlebell workouts for a little over a month. Started with a 15 lb because I lost a ton of muscle during a major weightloss. I can already see a little definition in my arms and I have notice some strength returning, so I am ready to step it up. Can't wait to see the results of doing an actual 30 day program. Figured a good time to start it Nov 1st. :D

    The conventional wisdom is usually based on the worst case scenarios. Unfortunately modern lifestyle makes shure that more and more people can be included in such a category. Also some of those people are not really honest with themselfs and are not willing to start small( pushups, pull ups, bodyweight squats,etc) so they get injured.

    I love your channel. I have a question, hope you see this. 54 year old female. Trying to lose weight and build muscles with kettlebells because I love it. Have complete tears in supraspinatus and intraspinatus right rotator cuff and partial tears in left supraspinatus. Able to use both arms still but not fully. Would you still advise to use kettlebells. I have 30 more lbs to lose. Haven't don't snatch, clean, press bc always in pain, mostly manageable. But I want to stay active. Help!
    Keep up the good work, we appreciate it.

      Hey Lori. We have seen great results with people who have experienced a similar situation like you.
      By far, the kettlebell lends itself best for pressing motions with „banged-up“ shoulders in our experience ; even better than Dumbbells, Machines or Barbells. - Gregory

    Is it possible for a future video to demonstrate the wrist motions for a clean with a girly 5 pound KB? This way the weight can go slow enough so we can see the slow motion of the wrist/hand positioning change before and during the motion of the Jn hitting your wrist/forearm. If that is possible, TY!
    Also for us with bad knees (arthritis/meniscus issues) what can we do to minimize pain with the squats you demonstrate?

      We‘ve demonstrated the Hand Insertion often on this channel but I keep your suggestion in mind. Injury- related training seems to come up quite often; great input! - Gregory

    What’s up brother? Been watching your videos for a couple of years now and I’ve gained a lot of knowledge from them. I’ve only had one question for you about your form and this is the perfect video to ask it. I’ve always watched and read that when you rack a bell or snatch it, never do a barbel grip. Your wrist should always be straight, strong. But, you always racks me snatch with barbell grip. Your wrists are always bent back. Why is that?

    • @lebe-stark
      @lebe-stark  Рік тому

      Racking the kettlebell on hip or overhead level is called a “Hook Grip” in the kettlebell realm. - Gregory

    I have a friend who wanted to engage in training after having lost about 35kg(!!) Weight by pure nutrition and he was interested in kettlebell.
    I wanted to coach him, but his doctor explicitly discouraged him from doing swings because in his untrained condition he was afraid an uncorrect executed swing could already mess up his spine.
    I thought that's nonsense but who am I to dispute the doctor?

    • @lebe-stark
      @lebe-stark  Рік тому

      Unfortunately, some doctors seem to be ill-advised when it comes to exercise. I don't think there's anything wrong to respectfully disagree with somebody (even a doctor) if he/ she gives recommendations in a field they're not experts in. - Gregory
