its been a 1 year and only 247 likes. this is the best tutorial even for kettlebell, I see many people who got more likes and they are doing it wrong. most of the bodybuilders who have absolutely poor mobility and they are just hinging the heavier weight, this is not the kettlebell for, we need to use speed for power and thrust.

The shifting of the body weight from leg to leg during the upswing is a very nuanced detail but makes all the difference in energy expenditure, power generation, technique efficiency and overall feel during execution. I noticed the way your body would shift when performing the hybrid but until recently hadn't implemented the technique into my own training.
The offset leg practically launches the kettlebell into the upswing when the technique is done correctly. I've been training with bells for the past few years and am pretty strong, so I sometimes am disconnected from the "feel" of certain techniques. I can muscle my way through most kettlebell exercises sometimes, but I could definitely feel this nuanced difference doing the hybrid swing. Thanks for the breakdown because it puts everything in perspective.

I’ve started doing this style almost naturally after following so many LS workouts. It feels great, almost like a flowing dance. Thank you, Coach Gregory!

Great video. I love the foot work. I'm not perfect at it, but Gregory has empowered me and has enabled me to be imperfect and grow in my kettlebell journey. I'm over 50 and KBs have been a great alternative to other weights. My first love is golfing and the unilateral nature of KBs has really carried over to my golf swing.

Thank you Greg, now I understand I have inadvertantly did the hybrid with my feet as I started the kettlebell training.

I started doing swings again because of your videos and this particular variation. I just never could compel myself to do them any other way; clean-press just felt superior. Now I do these too. Thanks!

Cool subbed. Thanks for the tutorial. Just got done with a round of Power 90 and I was learning some of the exercises aren't good for you such as pushups. My shoulder was starting to hurt. Been doing 15 minute kettlebell workouts the past week. I just watched another of your vids of form and I will use what I learned. I am a sudden cardiac arrest survivor x metastatic thyroid cancer survivor x partial spinal decapitation survivor. I have a pacemaker now, total thyroidectomy with radioactive iodine treatment and my neck fused c3-c7. I have occipital neuralgia for life and my heart is all messed up. Sick sinus syndrome tachy brady. SO yeah between exercises I will take like 30 to 60 second break and to get my heart rate down just a bit. I go into afib and pass out. Last time that happened I snapped the fusion I had done in the front of my neck. Yup loooong story. So now I exercise to strengthen my spine, bones, muscle ect............

@@lebe-stark thanks :-) Yeah the past few days I skipped my kettlebell workout.... was shoveling heavy snow for a few hours each day. The kind of snow that has people dropping from heart attacks. Well luckily I have been working out and building my endurance. I even went and shoveled my 80 year old neighbor. He looked like he was having a bad time. After my surgeries he would come over and snowblow my driveway for me.

@@lebe-stark I got out to my off grid forested land in the mountains yesterday. Took me a half an hour just to shovel a spot for my truck to fit at the end of my driveway. Walking up the driveway to my steel shipping containers there was about 2 feet of snow I had to trudge through. I was surprised that just that walk alone had me out of breath lol Then I did more shoveling around my containers. Made like 3 trips back and forth down the driveway. So I wound up skipping my workout again but thats ok lol. Tonight though.

I'm pretty handy with KBs, but by thus day, proper swing posture is so difficult for me, no matter how many videos I watch. I think because I have a bit disproportionate legs, every time I try to keep my knees more straight I keep almost hitting myself in the balls 😢

My breathing technique is simple. Air comes in by it self, then on the thrust I breath out HAAAA!! then air gets in by it self again. It is a Martial arts thing. when You push all of the air out you will suck new back in by it self

I started the 10,000 swings challenge. I went a little light on the kettlebell so I can do 1 hand swings and ended up doing this variation naturally. I didn't know it was a thing.
