I love how you and game champ sampled each other's audio for the castle section of Great Cave Offensive, was confused at first when I saw a lone parasol kirby in gamechamp's vid, found my self chuckling like an idiot when the joke came full circle in your vid.
Hey folks! I wanted to address some of the feedback I've gotten since I've posted the video. Some of you caught me near the end of Milky Way Wishes where I pressed B while trying to dodge Marx's laser. That was an editing fluke where I was looking for "Kirby dodging laser beam" footage and I forgot to check that I was pulling it from a different run I recorded. I also want to apologize about the volume. I wasn't thorough normalizing for this one so in the end my narration comes off as too quiet and unfortunately, the SSBU gags during Revenge of the King came off as too loud. Random volume spike gags aren't a favorite of mine either, so I regret I didn't catch those while editing. Half hour videos are practically double what I'm used to, so there was a point during the process where once I saw the finish line, I was more focused on that and lost sight of making sure everything was up to a better standard. The next time I do a video this long, I'll make sure these kinds of things get fixed before it goes live. Besides that, I appreciate all the help in making this my biggest video launch yet in terms of views, comments, likes, and subs! Whether you found me through Gamechamp or not, I hope you'll stick around!
After watching this (cool you did something in collaboration with Gamechamp), I actually picked up my copy of Super Star Ultra and went through a few notable areas to see what can be improved. I’ll make note of what b press areas can be improved if you were able to do the second player SD trick and in the Solo Play rule set you used in the video. Here’s what I found. Dyna Blade The only notable difference with having the partner SD trick is saving a B press in Stage 3. Cutting down Dyna Blade to 1. Without it, the 2 B presses in Solo are justified. Revenge of Meta Knight Stage 3 Note: I noticed the bomb block’s different position after the bonkers Duo while putting the gameplay side by side. Not sure why they did that. Either way, SD bomb tricks still save a B press on Super Star Ultra, but you still need one for the bomb block near the water. Otherwise, the 2 B presses is mandatory in solo play. Stage 7 I did the Gim Gamechamp strategy of letting the screen scroll so that Gim can accidentally get rid of a Star block next to the enemy and that IS a B press saved regardless. In total, with SD tricks, the B press count is 3. Solo Play totals to 4 B presses. Not much, but it’s still something. Revenge of the King Stage 5 I mainly looked at the area before Bandanna Dee with the rows of blocks. 19:47 Most of the previous parts can be done with the plasma strats, but there is a Waddle Doo near the blocks that you can create a helper and coax him to attack the enemy and the blocks below. For the bomb block near Bandanna Dee, unfortunately in my testing, I couldn’t get the nearby enemies close enough to the block to coax Waddle Doo to blow them both up. It does need a B press there for the mid air puff for destroying the bomb block. I don’t quite think the SD bomb trick reaches far enough, but it would save another B press if it is. So for that area alone, it slashes the B press count down by half to 3 B presses. If the SD bomb reaches, then Revenge of the King can be done with 2 B presses. This’ll obviously make you have to do Masked Dedede without Plasma, but enough practice can let you beat him (although it does take longer). That’s all. Here’s the final Tallies. With SD tricks: 18 (17 if the SD trick is possible in Revenge of the King). Solo play: 18 B presses. Hopefully this was helpful in some way. You still did well with your mainly plasma/parasol focused run with 22 B presses in solo play under your mindset. I enjoyed this video regardless!
Very cool that you found some new strats already! When I saw Gamechamp use Gim to break the block in Revenge of Meta Knight, I did think to myself I missed an opportunity there. I was so deadset on keeping plasma during my run, I don't think I was considering other options I had available to me. I'm also very glad to see you were able to make the Bandana Dee shaft lower already too! I honestly don't like my chances of fighting Masked Dedede as basic Kirby, but coaxing a Waddle Doo to help you down is definitely the better strat for saving B presses. Thanks for putting in the work to check out where I could've improved! I expected it would happen, but certainly not this quick!

The upbeat delivery makes this video such an entertaining watch and also got the BIGGEST laugh out of me at "Next up is Revenge of Metanight! :D *Dear God*, Revenge of Metanight :D" Props to you for keeping your spirits up, this was a lot of fun to watch.
I didn't come here right away after finishing Gamechamp's video last year but in my rewatch I did today I decided to check this video out and i'm glad I did.
3 things that could be better with marginally more effort (and one that costs some money): 1. When doing two screen games like this seperating the most "important" screen and making it way bigger is a good idea with either placing a tiny (or normal) version of the other screen off to one of the sides. Mostly my eyes were just glued to the top screen as anecdotal reasoning. 2. Normalize your audio, basically bringing all of the audio of the video to be about the same range that way nothing is to quiet or loud in comparison to other audio. After turning up my audio quite a bit for this video those Smash Ultimate sections were ear rape. 3. For the one that costs money is simply get a better microphone even feel free to build your own ala diyperks's 29-28.5 Euro build (30-40 USD) Hope you take at least the first two as genuine things to do since they are completely free. Either way you've earned a sub from this video and for at least a couple more.
"2. Normalize your audio, basically bringing all of the audio of the video to be about the same range that way nothing is to quiet or loud in comparison to other audio. After turning up my audio quite a bit for this video those Smash Ultimate sections were ear rape." This. I personally really don't like """""jokes""""" where the whole thing is "haha random volume spike so you'll get weird looks if you're next to literally anyone when watching this video".
@@Jann75 Agreed on the joke front but I think it's genuinely possible that it was just a fluke in this case (I accidentally did a similar thing while editing a video before). Also, while we may not like that kind of joke a lot of other people do and it would be wrong to discount those peoples' experience even if I personally don't get it.
i know its a joke at the beginning but there is actually someone who tried to beat kirby super star ultra without jumping. the grand total was 3 jumps. one in gourmet race and twice in revenge of the king.

In Revenge of the King, you probably could've just replayed the whole thing with Parasol instead and used Parasol's downward attack to break the blocks. Probably would've used substantially less B presses, though it wouldn't be perfect.
@@WarioFan63 Thanks! *pulls out another brick and throws it through a different window and climbs through the hole again* Bye Mr. Wario Fan! I'm gonna throw my last brick at this fat whale i found!
If you eat phan Phan in the re-fight in dededes castle, you may be able to use throw 's downward kick attack in order to clear those blocks with less B presses. But I'm not sure.
"Jukid and this neglected character" Implying that Jukid isn't infinitely more neglected than Buggszy. I mean Buggszy just straight up came back. 20:00 Hm, it's been awhile since i played this game but do faceplants destroy Star Blocks? KSS was the first game that normalized slides not destroying blocks under you so I'm guessing not. Also I've developed a strategy against Phan-Phan that no one else seems to know so I'll share part of it here (and not just because it's been years since I've played these games): Phan-Phan will always throw an apple after 2 "moves", though I don't remember if that's the same here since I never bothered due to midbosses being overall calmer in KSSU. His jump is really slow so I'd suggest trying to hit him as he lands. No matter the game he'll never walk into you, though I always assumed that he wouldn't care if you were going to be THAT close to him so idk.
By the way, you might be able to reduce the b press' in revenge of the king from six to three if you inhale one of the capsule j2 enemies and use te jets hover to break the blocks
In ROTK, is there anything (other than pain) stopping you from mixing for parasol at the start and using a parasol dive to break through all the blocks at 19:48 in one B press?
Wow, that works wonders! It does help that there's parasols in stage 5 too. I wonder if getting it in stage 1 would be very beneficial. My first thought going through is was a stone drop would help but that's one B press to stone and another to un-stone.
20:03 I remember Kirby being able to hit the block below him by falling from great height. Is this feature only in games that come after SSU? Even if not, if there is an ability like Sword or Bird, you can just use the Down+Attack to hit through the ground in only 2 presses (absort + attack) instead of 4 (1 for each layer)
Not sure if you’re still reading comments but I’m wondering how many B presses you could save if you used jet, another ability that does damage without the B button with its hover. In revenge of the king you could save 5 presses just by having jet instead of plasma for the last stage since jets hover also breaks blocks below you
Not the first, you say on the game champ video he isn't doing it because you are, I already know the jump count required because it was played by sample, that is if you don't do any mixing, it would be 3 jumps because you don't need to jump to float(1 in gormet race, 2 in revenge of the king) and you need a specific version in order to be able to not jump in the switch rooms in metaknightmare.
