These are a 10/10 for me. History, nostalgia, amazing silhouette and great materials. Agree that these need to be kept clean.

Definitely love these and the fact that this pair is the OG pair very first pair man this is history. Another thing I would like to mention is that I heard that this air unit is now designed with way better material/technology to prevent that mistake that they had when they first released this model in 86. As far as worrying about getting these babies worn out I tend to only put em on a nice sunny summer day so that it holds its esthetic.
Looked odd at first, but adjusting to the big bubble aesthetic now. Absolutely love them and as a lover of Air Max, even a sneakerhead in general, love the back story, these are a seminal piece of history; the birth of Air Max🔥🙌

If the original had a small bubble and they had issues with the small bubble and went with a big bubble, we’d all be used to and love the big bubble. That being said if we were used to a big bubble and instead they did a retro of the small bubble, we’d all be saying the same “not used to the bubble size”. All this to say. The shoe is a 10/10
The ORIGINAL was this big bubble!!! It had problems in cold weather then was changed to the small bubble in 87!

I love the big bubble! when they first came out with the bubble it blew my mind! so having a big one is kinda rad! I do agree with what you said about durability because they do feel a bit cheap and not as solid as the other materials.
i love the big bubble, not surprised if nike takes on the reinvented innovation of the big bubble comeback series as they also do with other collections. They probably won't just wanna stop the big bubble after going through 3yrs of research and experiment process. I personally think it's a step up of innovation using the technology template they have reintroduced to great success.

I'm a get these eventually cuz I have the 2017 OG pair, but I did cop the lost sketches which like you say are way better in person then pics. There hella dope!!! I'm def getting these but gotta grab the AJ SB 4 before they go up in price I want those Obsidian gold pair tho, I also have the 2017 obsidians, but that's my all time favorite OG AM 1 colorway!!! Love it. If I would’ve had it to cop I would’ve. Anything like the true OG is always worth the cop to me, and bigger bubble (besides being the true OG) can only mean more comfort. 10/10

I did a Nike ID pair of the air max 1 in this exact colour way a few years ago. Can’t tell the difference. Best way, as you couldn’t get hold of the reissue.

I'm a NIKE Purist when it comes to certain silhouettes. I was a youngin' in the 80's, but my older brother and others set the precedent for sneaker culture in DC. The late 80's, 90's was my era. I love these.

I really love the air max 1’s. The other air maxes are okay lol. This is the most comfortable air max I’ve ever put on tho. Materials are solid as well. I hope we get more colorways of this “big bubble” air max 1.

The deep-cut 400 Degrees Easter egg. Nice. This pair is one of those pairs I admire from a far. Love what they did. Love the silhouette. Big fan of the AM1 in general. Didn't go for a pair myself (not the kind of colorway I wear), but I'm glad people are enjoying these.

Dude it’s 2023 the bubble will hold up fine. Why are people acting like it’s 86 and it’s the first shoe made with a bubble lolz look at Nike 270s or all the other shoes with nothing but a bubble for the sole lol. Those don’t pop or crack so I’m pretty sure they have it dialed by now. Or they wouldn’t be releasing these knowing that it would be thousands if not millions of dollars lost cause they put a defective air bubble lol

My air max 90 that released a few years ago same materials I recently cleaned them up and they look great! I was about to get rid of them. Instead they really came back to life..think these will hold up

Bought these from stockx THE DAY they dropped. Didn't even go to the ONLY retail store in Houston selling them. In HOUSTON!! Just went ahead and picked mine up through stockx that's SAME day, the second they started selling on the app. This is a piece of unknown history to me. I had no idea the bubble was so big, at first either.
So, yeah...instant grail, that I'll KEEP on display, instead of ever wearing. Cause, your right, their gonna be HARD to keep clean.

It’s a beautiful sneaker, they coulda done this bigger bubble over the years, but I’m sure they were working on the durability on the bubble for improvement compared to the OG. You will be our guy to test them out, i on the other hand will rock them maybe once a month minimum.
I bought these and the GOLF pair and I must say...the GOLF pair needs a comparison video because it's the winner. The midsole is a gloss white, the air bag has a blue tint and overall it's slightly slimmer height. The traction is a plus to me and the biggest win is the toebox is WATERPROOF.

i love the fact you can actually look at it and see where the air max II (aka light) comes from, it never made sense to me looking at the 87 1 and seeing an air max light, with these dimesions oif the shoe it does

For me having a pair in 1987 which I class as the OG pair that had the smaller air unit that has had the staying power all these years. I copper the 86BBs more for the history. But I agree the smaller unit is perfect. Whereas the BB unit still messes up with my thoughts on the Evolution of AIR Max. What would the 90s have looked like if these didn't have issues back in 86/87 would we have had the 90s at all 😮 Still a dope pair for the collection, as part of the evolution, look at it without the flaws, Nike might not have corrected them air max 1s and then the evolution of AIR as we know it today. So an important pair imho great reviews and I agree 9.0 score for me 🔥🔥🔥
