I need to attach it to a smooth shepherd's hook that has no screws or resting point for the baffle. How is the baffle supported on the pole? Does it come with some sort of collar?
It comes with a clamp with two screws that fits around the pole and the baffle sits on top of the clamp. The video shows an installed clamp, and also another clamp in a plastic bag attached by a tie-wrap to the new baffler.
From the home depot description of this baffle: it Includes a metal coupler that clips easily around the pole. The baffle, which clips easily around the pole, rests on the coupler.
Canola oil works the best but your have to put in on the pole everyday
Unfortunately, many squirrels have found a way to grab on to the seam and find their way upward.
Why did you not put the clip on
Just bought a squirrel baffle yesterday, I found the clip (clamp) somewhat challenging to attach, see what happens.
@@weatherboi , I think you'll find many squirrels will end up getting a good footing on to that seam.
@@robertcornelius3514 So far, so good. My baffle has baffled the squirrels.
The clip does not tighten around a shepherd's hook.
I found it challenging to loosen the clip enough to fit the shepherd's pole, but was able to use a screwdriver to tighten the clamp.
Doesn’t work. Squirrels some how figured a way to get past the shield. Suing
Suing? Did you take it back for a refund? I recently purchased an 18" squirrel baffle and installed. I was told use this largest size, the smaller size are not as effective.
Squirrels can no longer be sued in court.
I think she hiding two squirrels under her shirt.
