    In the last 3 months you have completely changed the way i look at processing. Cant thank you enough! One of if not THE BEST photography channels on the tube hands down! Also your blatant disregard for using a tripod is extremly entertaining to me. 😂🤣

    Victorian here. I falling in love with NZ. Two predominant biomes, temperate & subtropical, complicated by large, sharp, gorgeously snow-capped mountainous regions. Clear water, ice, glaciers, & beautiful glacier coloured lakes. .....no snakes.
    Ironic, the one environment I want to photograph the most inevitably produce/feature glaciers, & I happen to live in the only country on planet earth with no glaciers .. laughs. From a photography perspective, there really is, to one degree or another, a relationship between geologically active/more so dangerous tectonics & an increase in beauty.
    Superb channel, William.
    Best,
    A fellow Aussie.

      Haha thanks mate. Agreed and yes, the tectonics bring the beautiful uplifts which happen to be so pleasing on the eyes. Throw in some temperate forest and you’ve got paradise (Chilean fiords, Coastal Alaska, NZ)

    Another enjoyable outing and exploration. I, too, often take a bit of time in post, walking away to return later with fresh eyes (tunnel-vision processing is something I've committed before). If a composition doesn't feel right initially, I try not to waste too much time with it, either, for it isn't likely to stop bothering me later, either. I really enjoy seeing how the work flow or compositional process works with others and this went well with my coffee this morning! Seeing all the lush greenery makes me miss living in the southern US at times but spring will eventually arrive here in North Dakota. :)

    Exploration brought to another level ;).
    On top of that: you may use the boat as foreground in some waterscape shots, when there's not much time to find the proper frame ;).

    Amazing, love the shot. A somewhat personal question, But within your own collection what are the top 5 shots that just remind you of something personal in your life? Example: your first image that made you go.... hey maybe i could do something with this photography thing? And where you nervous trying to sell your first images? Or what image would you say changed your life?

    Primary message here.... you typically can't get out of your car, walk 5 steps and find a brilliant composition. Explore a little bit, and you will be rewarded (and have some fun along the way).

    Great work. Great videos. I just now found your channel, so I'll be following, but I do have a question. Do you use any filters

    • @WilliamPatinoPhotography
      @WilliamPatinoPhotography  3 місяці тому

      Thanks a lot mate. Nah, no filters and no tripod for me. A camera and 3 lenses is all that has been part of my kit for many years now. I'll use a tripod for aurora shooting a couple times a year but otherwise it just stays at home. Regarding filters, I just shoot in golden hours and low light, which means I just don't need to darken the scene down any further. I also like my water having a little texture, so don't really need or like exposures longer than 1-2 seconds. Cheers :)

  • @LuckyPiano
