Haha, I thinks it’s a tactic used when calling. If there was a pileup you would hear only the end of his call since he said it so slow. That’s the person you would pick out. Thanks for watching!
Jeramy, this is your best work yet! Amazing photography, beautiful views, amazing music soundtrack and great friends getting it done. Congrats on the new club and believe me, I'll be looking to get KL7ADV in my log. Oh yeah, still trying to get KL7EC. 73 and Happy New Year my friend!
Awesome video. I tried yall on every frequency ya posted. I had 3 different antennas and 2 radios going but all I could hear was everyone talking to you. Just need AK to complete my full WAS on POTA. Will try again on WFD. Hope to get ya then KE5OLI. Central TX. POTA ON.
Thanks for the contact and thanks for watching my friend! The song was the creative mind of Doug KL7DUG. He used AI and payed for the copyright. 73 my friend!
Great video. With this group park activation, the 3 of you will be ready for winter field day come the end of January. I suspect the 3 of you were using band pass filters to keep interference from the radios to a minimum?
You bet we’ll be ready for Winter Field Day! Yeah, we used the buddihex with triplexer and all had band pass filters. No interference at all! Thanks for watching my friend, 73
641 contacts and 49 states is very impressive. Great work. This is definitely motivation for our Winter Field Day plans in my local club. I didn’t see any CW in the video, are you still making contacts?
Im a tech right now and working for my general. But I have been working 10 meters and making hundreds of contacts all over the world. The hardest place to make a contact for me seems to be Alaska. Hope to work you sometime. Where in the heck did you find that music? Or did you have someone do that? Really cool. Adventure Ham Radio at it's best.
Very nice! Take advantage of 10 meters while it’s available. Good luck on pursuing your general! Thanks for watching and hope to get you in the log, 73!
I’m using the DJI wireless mics. The transmitter is connected to my headsets which records the QSO. I have to adjust the monitor of the radio to pick up my voice during the QSO as well. That gets sent back to my receiver that’s connected to my camera. Let me know if that answered your question. Thanks for watching!
@ Maybe? So do you even have wires connecting the headset to the radio, or is the wireless transmission of the mic/receiver pair completely replacing that? When you say adjust the monitor on the radio, are you also hearing your own voice in your headset then, or are you pulling that from a completely different connection? Is all of this just with 3.5mm TRS, or did you have to make cables connecting to something else? (I watched a similar explanation with an FT-891 by KB9VBR, and he talks about making a cable connected to the DATA/RTTY mini-DIN port for line-level audio.)
No, the headset is wired to the radio. You are correct, I’m using the monitor to hear my own voice so the transmitter that’s wired to the headset can pick it up. The only thing that’s wireless on the recording mic is between the transmitter and receiver. 1/8 jack from transmitter to the headset.
@ Understood on the monitor aspect at least. Sorry, I’m still confused about how exactly you’re plugging the DJI transmitter into the headset. Does your headset have a second audio jack for a partner to plug in headphones to listen with you? Is your approach specific to the model of headset you use? If not, where is this getting inserted into the line of connections?
Yes! I have the Heil pro7 and the transmitter gets plugged into the audio out or monitor. If you look back at the video, you can see the mics dangling on the left.
