    I would NEVER use steel wool on a cutting board. The very find particles from the steel wool, can make their way INTO the cutting board. VERY DANGEROUS!!!

      This vid is for those very lazy people who let it go waaaaay too long. There are other vids that use fewer products with excellent results. Vinegar seems to be the key.

    Although this is a great way to clean a chopping board, but if it's that dirty, just throw it away and buy a new one. Or recycle or reuse it in other ways besides using it as a chopping board.

    Why is everyone bitching about the sink?! I have a utility sink in my garage that we use just for these sorts of things and it’s got an old tap on it that has tarnished. Who cares. Dirty work requires the right area to do it in.

      What the f are you talking about. Polyethylene is a chemically inert material and it'is used in every professional environment. You can easily sanitize it with bleach or by throwing it in a dishwasher at higher temperatures.
      Conversely, wood is porous and can harbour bacteria.

      greyankle u cut tiny grooves in art. boards when u slice. they hold bacteria must use bleach to clean HARDWOOD simply use soap n water they contain enzymes that kill those bacteria

      Maybe, but lemon and vinegar is something that you'll probably have at home anyway, and you wont need the whole bottle either. I doubt a chopping board, even a cheap plastic one, is worth the same as half a lemon and a third of a vinegar bottle. Just sayin

    I always just soak my chopping board in diluted chlorine overnight. Then I rinse it off with dishwashing soap (and water) until the chlorine residue is gone.
    It's less scrubbing..and it gives me the satisfaction of seeing the actual grease build-up floating on the solution.. 😊😊

    Just an advise. put chopping board on the basin. Pour bleach on it. ( Laundry bleach) Just enough to cover the top. Leave for a while. Then just brush it thoroughly with soap to remove the smell and bleach residue. Rinse nicely. You're welcome.

    The best way to clean plastic chopping board is to rub lemon all over. Let it the lemon stand for five minutes and put it in a dishwasher, set the temperature to hot dry. Your chopping board look beautiful and disinfected.

    and baking soda is excellent makes whiten,i used also to clean the toilet and for brushing my teeth.
