Welcome to Pakistan. While you're facing difficulties getting a SIM, please appreciate that the requirement of having a Pakistan ID for getting a SIM is one of the many measures imposed to keep Pakistan safe and secure. We had a long, tough decade fighting terrorism during 2005-2015, lost over 80,000 of our countrymen, before we overcame this scourge. Hopefully you'll understand. Have a great time in Pakistan 🇵🇰
I will tell you the mistake you made. Normally such facilities are difficult to get in remote areas of developing countries. This is why tourists land in the major cities first, get everything sorted (from sim to cash ), and then head towards your these remote places. However, you entered Pakistan directly into a remote place. This is why you’re facing these issues. Once you will head towards Islamabad, you’ll issues will be sorted. Good luck

As a Muslim myself, I'm also reminded of the beautiful teachings of Islam that emphasize the importance of helping those in need and welcoming travelers. The Quran says, "O you who believe! Give hospitality to your guest, whether he is a stranger or a guest" (Quran 24: 22). It's amazing to see these teachings put into practice in everyday life, and it's a testament to the good character of the Pakistani people, and another quran verse says: Say, "Whatever you spend of good is [to be] for parents and relatives and orphans and the needy and the traveler. And whatever you do of good - indeed, Allāh is Knowing of it."
I am an American who has spent years traveling in 53 countries on 5 continents. The friendliest countries have been Muslim countries. Syria was perhaps the most friendly. I hope to visit Pakistan someday soon.
The hospitality has hardly anything to do with religion. It is just the culture of the area. I have lived in Karachi as well. Didn't find many as hospitable.
I am 71 years old and I love travelling too.. I am super impress by the two of you.. your positive attitudes, your willingness to try food - looking forward to your future postings.
