Still performing today in his late 60's & just as good, with less sneering. Good shape too, & still with open shirt....no pot belly at all. Flesh For Fantasy is another.
I love Billy Idol!!! The rawness that he expresses...the movements of his lips when he is singing....the way he moves his body when he is expressing the song or lyric of a song....the screams and yells he does with veins popping out of his neck and forehead makes people know he is really in his music and NOTHING is FAKE!!! I LOVE THAT!!! Very rare these days with artists!!! And that's why the music is soooo empty and flat!!!!
YES!!! 🤩 Billy Idol really put out some fantastic music. The dance floors would fill up when some of his songs would play. The beat and rhythm of his songs were great. ❤Stay safe. Don't forget to test White Wedding. You'd love it. 😊😊
My fave of Idol's was always Mony.. Mony!!!! Now that is a party song!!!! Before he went solo he was in a band called Generation X or Gen X to those who loved them and had their music. My faves of theirs were Kiss Me Deadly.. Ready, Steady GO! and Dancing With Myself.. and that last one he released again during his solo career too! Anyways... love me some Billy!!! 🤩🥰 Cheers from Canada 😊🍁
I grew up in this era whenever this came on in the club everyone was on their feet. I think it was the only song that men dance to LOL so happy you reacted to this love it❤
His "Dancing With Myself" usually got everyone including men up on the dance floor whether you had a partner or not, everyone crazy dancing and having fun
My first concert...I was 13 when this song came out and went with my two best friends...and one of their Dad's....😂😂😂 this song is the epitomy of the early 80s...a Gen x theme song...so much fun!!!
Thanks for your reaction, Saeed❤ Yes, this is one that got everyone up on the dance floor and singing along when I was young going out to the clubs to dance with my friends! Great memories!! A local band that had a big following performed this one, along with White Wedding, which is another of my favorite Billy Idol songs 😃💗 Thanks again for your reaction. Please ask your wife to drive safely when listening to this on your trip!😂🥰
Hi Saeed! Wow!... Billy Idol... Rebel Yell, Mony Mony, White Wedding... bang it out awesome! Dance music, move your body music, singing along music... absolutely alive!
Love this one, used to do it with a classic rock band in '05-07, always a crowd pleaser. My other fave from them is 'Eyes Without A Face', its backup vocal line, "les yeux sans visage" escaping me for decades 'til I looked up the lyrics. Duh!!😮 Guitarist Steve Stevens really embodies the rock guitar god rather well, doncha think? I sorta do, every Saturday, need it or not. 😂 Met bassist Steve Webster in '82 when my 2nd meeting with a guitarist who'd answered an ad of mine took place at their shared house; they were in the backyard poring over the big red jazz fake book. Six months to a year later, this video was in high rotation on Muchmusic, Canada's MTV analog. Surprised and happy for him, and them. 🖖🏼😎🎶🔥🍁🔥✨️🕊
I saw this guy back in the day and it was absolute energy through out the venue at Mary Washington College ,GW hall.Crazy good!It was 1983 and 41 years ago.Billy brings definite attitude to his songs.
He's great live, same energy. I same him twice, last time 10 years ago. He's still performing and from what I see, still doing great on stage. Steve Stevens is an amazing guitarist too. Sometimes overlooked since he mainly performed with Billy Idol and not metal or shredding bands but he has buckets of talent.
Love that not only Billy but the band performed the hell out of the song in this video. I remember him from my childhood because he was very famous and even as a kid i loved his song "Dancing With Myself", but grew to appreciate him after his 80's "prime". While he's very much from that time his music still rocks, and yes, the Elvis lip lol, he made it work.
Billy Idol was sexy way back then and when I saw him in 2014, he was around 50 years old and was still very sexy! He put on a great show, he was in really great shape, it was such a great time! Other great tunes by him is "Eyes Without A Face", "White Wedding", Flesh For Fantasy". I'm pretty sure this was not a live track, the live coverage in the video must've been for an official video he was putting out.
🔥🔥 .. yeah , Billy Idol is a wild man !! Pumped up is right. I saw in concert 2 summers ago me He was opening for Bryan Adams. Billy was an older man , but still full of piss & vinegar. He was full of energy and I new all but 1 song. He was great , and then Bryan Adams was really unbelievably great. Bryan has a very long list of hit songs. I recommend you make room for some Bryan Adams songs also. More Billy Idol would be just fine also. Try ... "Mony Mony" !!! 🔥🔥🎧🔥🔥🎧🔥🔥
We used to put on Billy Idol songs at work, when we knew we were in for a long day of survey. Kept us awake 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 He is still rocking 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 Eyes Without A Face is a much slower tempo
Billy Idol was a star in the 80s Punk Rock music phase. When Punk Rock was no longer popular, Billy couldn't adapt to another kind of music and faded away. He still does small concerts singing his Punk Rock hits. It's funny that Punk faded but a decade later Green Day sang their early songs in a Punk Rock mode.
Originally, Rebel Yell comes from US Civil War which was a yell that Rebels or Confederate soldiers used the yell when charging the Northern soldiers to intimidate and scare them. It also was intended to control fear while charging. What it exactly sounded like isn't known.
Greetings and Love from Köln, Germany again ❤ Many don't know, the 'Rebel Yell' comes from the US civil war. When the 'rebel's' from the South attacted the Yankees from the North on the battlefield, over 300 on their horses, the southern soldiers yell at their enemys, letting out a scream that bone cracking loud, even the canadians could hear that 'Rebel Yell'. Well, i guess she absolute really wanted more, more, more..😅
Wow! I don't know why, but this one surprises me. I didn't expect Billy Idol today. LOL One time I saw Billy Idol at the Roxy in L.A. and after the show, my friend and I crashed the afterparty. There was a table reserved for the band, so we boldly sat down at it. We met Steve Stevens, the guitarist, however no Billy. But a great vacation story. 🙂
Billy I' started with a decent Punk Band, Generation X, during the British Punk scene. This is from his second album, which due to videos on MTV, he got big! My first concert, here in south Ohio was to see Billy Idol in 1984. I was fourteen, one parent of my three friends went with us, to make sure we would be safe. The concert was great -yet it was a bit cheesy. Everyone in the band had something, hair, armband, vest, guitar,...when they turned off the stage lights a few times for ultraviolet light parts of all in the band 'glowed'. The opening act was Dez Dickerson, who had been with Prince during his "1999" album, the guy in the video with the Japanese headmand,....his solo work didn't impress me. The next Rock concert I saw was The Beach Boys after a Cincinnati Reds baseball game - and then R.E.M. in a college theatre, in 1985, between 2nd-3rd album in 1985, for $10. Musicians always prove themselves "live". Glad to have seen Idol in his prime!

Love, Billy Idol ❤ Maybe you could check out Mony Mony or White Wedding ❤ Love your channel and your reactions 🥰God Bless you and yours 😇 Rock On and Rock Hard 💯🤘🤟✌️
Rebel Yell is actually a type of bourbon whiskey made in Kentucky (The name has been shortened to just Rebel). But apparently Billy liked the name of the whiskey and wrote this song around it. So yeah, Rebel Yell is whiskey, and the girl keeps crying for a refill. 😂
Rebel Yell 💪 Eyes Without a Face, Hot in the city, Flesh for fantasy...ALL FAVS. There's 'White wedding' and 'Cradle of love'...all K. Mony Mony I always found tedious and unnerving, just tired in a contrived way...seems the common masses go-to though, understandable, as it sounds so conventional and formulaic. Whatever.
A Rebel Yell goes back to the American Civil War. When the Rebels (the southern soldiers) would scream like scalded ass apes to frighten the Yankees. A rebel Yell. When they attacked.
A current artist you should react to is Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Nial Horan and you have already listened to Zayn. They, along with Liam Payne (who recently passed away) formed the group One Direction (more good music!)
This is my youth. White Wedding is another good one!
Billy Idol was and still is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Eyes without a face and Mony mony...great tunes...
White Wedding too
Noted for his"whiplash smile". You gotta check out White Wedding,,,,,,Eyes Without A Face, too
Thanks for watching and the recommendation! Awesome song!
You can't get much more 80s than this.
Still performing today in his late 60's & just as good, with less sneering. Good shape too, & still with open shirt....no pot belly at all.
Flesh For Fantasy is another.
Billy also did a bit of a ballad. It's called "Eyes Without a Face", and according to Billy, it refers to people who have no soul.
He looks like a mix between Elvis, Bowie and himself.😂 sounds like it too, I think he's great !
Sweet Sixteen is great ballad

He said it was from a party with the Rolling Stones, where they were drinking Rebel Yell Kentucky Whiskey.
His Mony Mony video will blow you away. Bet you cant sit still listening to it!

Mony, Mony is my favorite.
Fun fact.....Billy's lead guitarist Steve Stevens played lead on MJ's Dirty Diana...
Yup. She's demanding it. 🤣

I'd love to see you with more Punk. I love 90s and early 2000s Punk/Pop Punk. (Yes I love Streisand and Punk too 😅)
You need to play white wedding he has a lot of great music
You might have seen him in the movie “The Wedding Singer”.
Now try Radar Love by Golden Earring. Live in Amsterdam in 2015 is brilliant!!

Heads up . The title refers to the name of the whiskey that a young lady was drinking on the nite he spent some time with her. True story.
Rebel Yell is a brand of bourbon xxx
Check out White Wedding - Billy Idol is great.
Please consider reacting to Hallelujah by KD Lang at the Juno Awards..it's so very worth it! Blessings to you and yours
