Quick correction:
I just noticed that I mentioned the bop didn’t change for Peugeot, which I found to be incorrectly said. Tbh, the bop version I looked at showed a color for the 9x8 bop that typically means no change, and the back up info I had was also unfortunately incorrect 😅
Just an unfortunate coincidence I guess haha. Otherwise that, the rest of the video should be correct! Thank you all for watching, hope you enjoyed the video, it took a lot of work to get it out but it was well worth it!
We appreciate that work. 🙏
There is one more slight error. The track map of imola is an old one. There is a kink to the right now where that chicane before the start/finish used to be. It's flat out from Rivazza to Tamburello now.
The hours you have shown for the race make it only last 5 hours. 🤔
Boogity, Boogity, lets go racing boy's and girl's!! Thanks for the preview Jonah!
Thank you!! Always happy to provide the previews! Thanks for watching!!
As an Australian, I'm finding your content very useful and informative. Keep up the good work young man.
Love to hear this! Thank you so much for your support, and I’m happy to hear that you enjoy my content.
@FormulaJonah As an older person (I'm in the 3% club on YT), it's great to see your generation having such an interest in sports cars.
Been hanging out for this race. Have spent the last month watching the replays of Spa 23, Sebring (IMSA) 24 and Qatar. Lesssshhh go!
The WEC is getting so good that it can fit a 6 hour race into a five hour time slot...
Oops thats a mistake on my part, sorry!
oh god that cadillac is going to be so fast with this configuration of BoP
They better be!!!!! No more excuses 😡
Really excited for this race. This year things did not workout otherwise would have gone with family to watch the race. Nice video. Keep up the good work.
can't wait for this race, so excited I'll be there, first time going to my favorite track!!!
Very good preview of 6 Hours of Imola, now I`m really looking forward to it!
Darn, that new Peugeot looks sick.
There is an interesting fact in this event unofficially for the first time we see a dual couple or boyfriend and girlfriend race each other in the same event but different class
I hope the pug made all the laps and finished the race in good spot
As a Ferrari fan I must say if we lose every race from now until June but get amazing BOP and win LM I count that as a successful season
That’s what they did last year
Gonna be there in person, haven't been this excited in years!
Awesome! Hope you have a lot of fun!!
I ll be there tomorrow! Can t wait
I forgot about this event. Well, I didn't forget. I just forgot that this and the grand prix of long beach were on the same weekend. The time difference means it's possible to watch both but I'm not sure how busy I'll be with other plans this weekend so I definitely won't see the whole lot of each race.
Edit: I'm not a fan of their road cars but that new Peugeot is a great looking car.
These are really helpful, thanks
So glad to hear that they are! Thank you for the compliment and thanks for watching!!
The Cadillac BOP seems extremely fast
For those in Brazil "Grande Prêmio" youtube channel will broadcast the race live
6:43 The track map seems to be a bit outdated, having the old chicane present at the start/finish straight. Now it's nearly a straight between Rivazza and Tamburello
Oops that’s a graphic mistake, sorry. It should be the one without the chicane.
Getting a feeling that the LMdh will be the race leaders and winners (Porsche Lamborghini and Cadilac ), the LMHs will still be struggling.
I think I've commented this before on some other video(s) but you have a great voice for this sort of thing. I watch a lot of Formula 1 content on UA-cam and can tell you, some people have the voice and others don't. BTW, do you follow F1 as well as endurance?
i think hes strictly endurance
❤
But those Peugeots are so dang beautiful!🤩🤩🤩
I have a question does the first two practice sessions only are streaming in some countries because I paid the full season abo to watch WEC but every time when I want to watch the first two practice sessions it don't works.
Hoping Isotta and BMW have a better showing this time round.
Bop should be called ufp unfair play
Go Porsche!!!
What are the BoP changes based on? Every race they bring changes to the BoP but we don't have any explainations.
iirc they use simulation on each track for the BoP...
The Peugeot 9X8 has changed the BoP, why you say that not? pass from 520KW (697HP) to 510KW (683HP) and +31KG of weight
Ah I think that may be a mistake on my side. My bad the source I had was incorrect unfortunately
@@FormulaJonah No problem, but the contradiction was giving me a headache hahaha
2:43 i think this is outdated as dailysportcar announced that Peugeot was going to run both cars with 2 drivers only as well. Vergne and Vandoorne have Formula E commitments.
I believe that could be for the next round, the 6 hours of Spa, as that is the race with the conflicting schedule of Formula E with the Berlin E Prix. The entry list for Imola has 3 drivers each for Peugeot and all 6 full times drivers are currently at the circuit.
@@FormulaJonah just double checked it and yes that is indeed the case. My bad 😅
No worries!! 🙂
so the 6hours of imola will last from 1pm to 6pm? hypercars are so fast they can do in 5hrs 😂
lol yeah that was a graphic error where the numbers got auto-calculated incorrectly. Race goes from 1pm - 7pm local 😅
I hope that Peugeot win a place in the podium!
I hope so too! Really hoping that these new updates will finally return Peugeot to the top of sportscar endurance racing!
Friends, I am relatively new to this class of racing that I used to follow in the past. I used to be a huge F1 fan for decades, but the pathetic rule changes and additions throughout the years got me sick of it. Anyway, since I just regained interest, I noticed there is an odd "Bop" balance of power, rule. It seems very strange because the racing I used to follow of developing cars within the rules and using them while modifying them throughout the season. The BoP sounds like a power adjustment and sandbagging race by race to keep the grid even in every race. Isn't that more than a bit ridiculous? Am I missing something?? Success ballasts??? Huh? I thought I was following a series that was not going to have weird and crazy rules.
BoP was introduced after LMP1 died due to it's insane costs. BoP keeps development costs down, insures that privateer teams have a chance and creates an easier entry way for many brands. It's the same system they use in GT3 for like 15 years now.
Hopefully Ferrari wins 🇮🇹🇮🇹
They COULD take the championship lead if they get lucky
Go go Peugeot !!!
Forza Ferrari! 🇮🇹🔥
@@MuhammadIsMuslim Maybe at Le Mans
@@CobraFerrariFth yeah maybe
Yet another proof that Americans don't know how to build a proper race car🤷♂️...having the (second) most power, combined with the lowest weight should be good enough. But I guess it won't be😂. At least it sounds the most violent (nobody has ever won a prize in this category)
Ur joking, right?? 😂 It's GM that we're talking about now. Let's not get over our heads 😂
@@hypezzyy The fact that it's about GM makes it even more awkward😄... they might be a big thing in the USA-USA-WE-ARE-THE-GREATEST-bubble, but technologicly they are decades behind their european rivals. Just as the whole car industry is. Just saying🤷♂️
@@DerPl84I mean, LM wins with every generation of the Corvette GTE says otherwise but u do u. An IMSA championship in their first year with a new prototype also says otherwise, but u do u
@@DerPl84A podium at LM in their first year back in the prototype class of the WEC and having all 3 cars finish the race says otherwise as well, but again u do u
if we applied this same comment to the isotta fraschini car, it would have made the italians look bad
if i were you, i wouldn't try looking so ignorant by pushing such a narrative
