Great vids ... they make a ton of sense. Can you post something on getting rid of arm overrun - club past parallel? After about 6 years off - getting back in - had it all wrong before peaked at about 6 - looking to rebuild on the restart - lots of great stuff but need something on overrun.
What an interesting video! So, how does his point of the ball being suddenly higher affect the so-called “Malaska move”? Also, do you feel, as I do, that LITERALLY swinging at a golf ball, like in a baseball swing, almost requires a bending of the lead arm, taking advantage of that third lever?
Linear or Rotational hitting are different. Rotational hitting has a circular hand path where barrel of bat releases as lead shoulder begins moving away from target.
Thanks for all your videos Mike. I've watched alot of them on your channel and also where i first ran across you over on Brandon's Be Better Golf. Question i have on this video is how to incorporate what i see as one of the big points of this video which is the feel of the left elbow moving towards the pitcher. The "Malaska Move" is more of a hands down move and i think that is effectively about the same as moving the elbow towards the pitcher. So maybe it's a matter of preference as to which might feel better for a particular person. However if i try the elbow towards the pitcher action, what should i really be trying to do or avoid doing in order to properly get that feel. I wouldn't want to incorrectly work on that move in the way that some mistakenly try the "Malaska Move" while using shoulder turn. Thanks again Mike, i'm really excited to really apply the things you talk about come spring time in north central illinois.
Mike, love your golf stuff, can't wait for the Stanley Cup playoffs and what that will provide, BUT I prefer you to stick to golf, you are excellent at that :)
Mike- the front shoulder has to move up and back toward your ear hitting a baseball. No way you can even get a swing off if it stays closed. I hear this a the time and it's just not possible. Have someone point the handle of a golf club on the front shoulder and tell them don't move the shoulder while you swing- it's not possible.
many great hitters open the shoulders check out ua-cam.com/video/GZC-rEEWATU/v-deo.html you have to to generate power/speed with a heavy bat body weight has to shift.
Mr Malaska I’ve been teaching and Coaching baseball for almost 20 years and that gentleman did you no favours. Very poor instruction. Your swing plane was much too horizontal to hit the height of pitch you were attempting. The reason you hooked everything was because your swing was too around which caused you to be on the outside part of the ball. Easy fix for a golfer😊
Mike, in case you did'nt know already, you're the best golf instructor on the planet. Thanks for re-igniting my interest and passion for the game.
Wow - what an eye opener - in this video you really can see Mikes no BS approach - absolutely dedicated to learn about the mechanics!
Love your stuff Mike. Love your relation to the baseball swing. Not the best batting instructor
Thanks mike, in fact, I am a ten finger baseball grip golfer.
Would like to see you make more on this baseball golfing topic.
Brilliant video , thanks Mike ..
Loved this one Mike! You the man
Love how your visiting the other sports!!! My favorite thing to do!
