Redarc makes awesome stuff if you only have a couple of batteries but for more than that the marine world has been miles ahead of us in the offroad / overland community.
Your earlier video on dual battery setups made me change my decision from a system like the Genesis dual battery system to making my own setup with a redarc BCDC1225D. I’m quite happy with it. Great info. Keep it up!
Went a slightly different way with my setup. I working towards an all electric camp setup with a SnoMaster LP66, induction cooktop, microwave, and an old fashion perk perk electric coffee pot. Almost ready for the install into my 2021 F350 Tremor with 618AH of LiPO4 batteries connected to a Victron Lynx distributor, a Victron SmartShunt with bluetooth to my iPhone to monitor the system, solar charging using a Victron SmartSolar MPPT 100/50, and alternator charging using the CTEK D250SE paired with a CTEK SmartPass 120S. The CTEK gear can provide up to 120amps at 12V while driving. Power to the standard household appliances via a 3000watt inverter.
So with the manager 30 system, does that replace the need for a DC charger? Can I use the manager 30 to keep the batteries in my trailer charged off the vehicle?
You may want to watch my dual battery vs. battery pack video! Basically, Jackery is easier, but dual battery has modularity, longevity, and typically charges far quicker. My battery is around 2500Wh, and charges in around 7 hours from the vehicle.
@Revere Overland I'm changing the station from my 110V while driving and fridge running off my truck power so it's charging fast enough as night is not discharging battery to 70%. Also you have lots power for charging your video equipment. Also I have 200 w Solar so during camping I do charging power station that way , but running fridge from my truck batteries as it has two agm batteries just as OEM set up but they are in parallel circuit and it's pain to switch otherwise

Great info! Love my REDARC stuff!
Great explanation.

👍
So my question is comparing the power station like a Jackery 1500 vs battery set up.

So have you found where you’re putting it in the tundra
Right now it's all mounted under the back seat, but I may switch it to the seat back after a seat delete!
