I entirely understand if the Iraqis don't feel the same after our conflict from 1991 and 2003 and even recently But its amazing to see the love and respect they show to this American tourist visiting Iraq on good terms. I agree completely. I want to visit one day (with careful planning probably, but it would be great). I wish more Americans saw the Middle East as a place full of amazing people, just like all parts of the world.
I once heard a person say that they were worried about people hitchhiking on planes during the exit out of Afghanistan and I let them know Afghans want a good life and a job and want to live here for a reason. If there was no vetting process at all, that would be an issue, but that isn’t how it is.

Iraq is beautiful for a variety of reasons. The country has a rich history and is home to many ancient archaeological sites such as Babylon, Nineveh, and Ur, making it a fascinating destination for history buffs and archaeology enthusiasts. The country also boasts stunning natural landscapes, including the marshlands of southern Iraq, the mountains of Iraqi Kurdistan, and the crystal-clear waters of the Persian Gulf. Additionally, Iraq is known for its vibrant culture, delicious cuisine, and hospitable people, all of which contribute to its overall beauty. #Iraq #TigrisandEuphrates #Civilizations #HonestPeople ❤

So glad to see this video. I was a contractor in Iraq, but lived on the local economy with only Iraqis (Oil Police). I started with 4 guys ad left with 823 and handed over. Kind, intelligent, honorable and brave. They coulld have killed me anytime they wanted to. They also stood by me in 2 true Alamo moments when the insurgents offered them safe passage just to go home (I only have 7 guards at the time and let them take teh 3 white boys. I told them to go home. They refused and the local populace got wind of the situation and the tribes began to threaten them and drove them from the city (Nasiriyah, a huge city) which was each time, completely over thrown. I hope to go back.

I served in the army during the Iraq war. I have no animosity towards the country or the people the country of Iraq is beautiful. I have many fond memories. I also remember the Iraqis who helped me in combat and even had a few possibly saved my life. I spent three and a half years in that country and I wish I could afford to return.

I served doesn't mean I killed anyone but you immediately went on accusing. I was a maintenance person and security. I built schools and water treatment facilities. But you can hate me if you want. We will all be judged by God one day.@@ruthaakamonica5602
