Beam lift: what a great piece of kit. I assume I can hire one for the loft conversion I'll be working on soon. Thanks for such a simple explanation and clear demonstration of it's capabilities. Peter
Just used two of these to lift a 520kg beam onto my house extension. Wanted to come back and say Thank You for putting me onto them. A couple tips I learned on the job: The beam lifter needs plenty of room to move around and an extra 500mm beyond the edge of the wall. As the lifter goes up, it also has to be able to move in. Have a couple of straps to be able to hook the beam. Greater versatility. Have some thermolite blocks handy to make up a temporary pier - no way to dead man lift a 520kg beam. This lets you move the beam from under to on top of the lifter by placing the beam on the temporary pier. It's great kit, but go slow! Thanks Tony. Keep up the quality work!
Yes of course. The beam lifts are ideal for moving steels around, as well as lifting them into position for installation. They really are a great bit of kit 😁 Hope this helps. All the best, John 😊

Glad you like it! take care 👍
Can you use one of these to install a beam for a house extension? Or is it only to move beams around?

Are these heavy. I have a 5 m 152x152 beam to get into my loft for a conversion. Doing it alone. Can these be lifted into lofts?. Tia
Hi Ben yes they can but you have to remember to support the underneath all the best Tony 👍
@@BuildWithAE cheers mate.
Did you fellas ever see anyone use a pair of transmission jacks to raise a beam ?
No but sounds interesting 🧐
