I am so glad and happy he has recovered after his injury and he is in such a great form now. He has a warm and generous soul and is a real pleasure to listen. Thank you Maxim!

Best version, recorded in studio, but still very natural playing from vengerov. The pianist is also very expressive and interesting

It's absurd how well he plays this piece. Never fails to give me chills. Bravo Maxim!

I had the privilege of seeing Ricci perform this live....a wonderful and inspirational experience for me as a young aspiring violinist. His fingers seemed to flow over the fingerboard like liquid.

I like the way Vengerov takes his time in certain passages to bring out the singing voice of this work. Perhaps too many concentrate on technical display in Paganini...ignoring the Italian operatic quality of the melody line.

I am just comparing UA-cam versions and this performance is the only one where I can withstand an extremely high part of this piece. Many violinists in this part is doing something that sounds like scratching a plate with a poker. :-)

could never figure out why Kreisler, who is known for his lovely, charming pieces, was motivated to create these monstrously difficult Paganini arrangements (this one, and Witches Dance),
which are more difficult than Paganini's originals.
