He did mess up by sending WG to US. If not then WG could have been the Nation's Girl Group instead of SNSD, not hating SNSD though. But it was well known that JYP always wanted to enter the US market. Even when he was young he along with Bang Si Hyuk (CEO of Big Hit) stayed together in one small room in the US to sell their songs. So when WG became hugely popular in Korea he played a huge gamble by sending them to US and they lost all their momentum back in Korea and Girls Generation became the NGG. Even though the whole thing failed we should still remember that they were the first to introduce K-pop to the world. JYP toured with WG in a bus and spent hours travelling to perform. He also managed all of their activities and promotions. JYP now learned from all the mistakes he did with WG and is not repeating the same with TWICE. Even after TWICE became the NGG he let them grow in Korea and now he is focusing on the western market.
The first KPOP band I stanned and followed.I still havent come to terns with them disbanding when they did.I thought they would've had atleast one more comeback because "Why So Lonely" was so successful.
I thought Koreans are the most faithful fandoms in the world but I read somewhere here in UA-cam that the group went to USA didn’t make it and upon coming back to Korea lost their place. Even if they are not in Korea if the fans like to support them well UA-cam is available. I like the group for having English, Japanese & Chinese versions of some of their songs. The seem to have cool songs. I’m not a K-pop fan but I know their nobody. Who doesn’t? I’m a huge fan of Queen & Mariah Carey that even if they are no longer having concerts it is not like I will stop listening to them or will not wait for them to appear again in public isn’t that what being a fan really means?
The U.S. stint did have a play in the slight decline of their popularity. But, they were still generally popular and successful. I truly think the big blow on their popularity was when they went on hiatus (when Sunye and Sohee left).

To think that they came to my city to open for Jonas Brothers. And I couldn't see them because the ticket was too expensive :( I just wanted to see the WG, not the Jonas despite I liked them too.
