Lest we forget, Universal's REAL original movie monster was the Phantom of the Opera, appearing in the 1925 silent film (re-released with sound and half-reshot in 1929), and again in 1943 in new glorious colour (while the rest of the Universal monsters were winding down into B status, the studio went all out for 1943s Phantom).
Love when James covers the classics. We must keep them alive, there's a reason they've stood the test of time for over 100 years. Enjoy your break James & get well
Petition to see a Monster Squad Kill Count. It's the only flick where the old Universal Monsters are in the same movie, the only one that is missing is the Invisible Man. It's like the Avengers of Monster Movies.

Coincidentally I’ve been rewatching your universal monster movie kill counts these past couple of days. Nice to see this and I hope you are still doing well.
I Have never respected a person as much as James before , losing a loved one is never easy but it takes a true honest man to keep working regardless, i hope you read this and realize that you have a loving and supporting fanbase behind you.
The library of my elementary school had picture book versions of the original Universal monster movies. I was already a voracious reader, and the creepy black and white pictures fascinated me. I remember begging my parents to let me watch the movies. Now, I'm almost thirty, and this video reminded me that I can go watch them anytime I want. Thank you for keeping these classics alive!
You've been missed brother. I've been praying for you. I was mainly raised by my grandparents and I miss them so much I can't even think about them, think about the life I have now, and think how proud of me they would be of me and my sister without crying. Every beautiful day I wake up to just leaves me wishing that they were here to enjoy it with me... but I live for them. That's what they would want. I try to honor them as much as I can. Maybe when I face my own judgment I'll get the chance to ask... if they are proud of the life I've lived. I think they will be.

It looks like the numbers for the Mummy movies got overlooked at the end, so I thought I'd put those together: Between Imhotep and Kharis, the Mummy scored 21 out of the 53 kills in these 6 movies, giving them an average of 3.5 kills per movie. The franchise had 2 Mummy characters, played by 4 actors, 3 of whom played other Universal monsters (Boris Karloff, Lon Cheney Jr., and Eddie Parker (as a stunt double)
