There are simple and honest rural people as well as complex and sophisticated urban people. You can find everything you want to find. Because this country is so large and has a lot of variety, geographically, most Americans don't want to travel outside the country. Most never experience the stimulus of contact with other peoples and cultures, or need to learn a foreign language. I don't understand why people have to complain about the individuals with the negative views on America. We as Americans are very easygoing, loud, unintelligent, a bit fake, easily offended, easily influenced by mass media and we materialize everything. Our Government is untrustworthy but they have gotten us through some difficult times but lately it's been really hostile.
