I've been grooming my Yorkie for his entire life. Some cuts were better than others. :-) I love the soak baths. Never thought of it, my Jack is up there in years and I know his hind legs could use a soak. Thank you Nikki!
My biggest tip is to do their nails first. Standing up on the table while you groom for an extended time will be more comfortable on their feet and joints by having clipped long nails first. It’s more comfortable for them if they can maybe lie down or have a softer cushion on the table too for it to be relaxing. They don’t need to stand when you’re doing their face, so taking a break to sit in between will give them more comfort. Grooming can be a very timely process, and they will like it the more it’s like a spa treatment instead! My dog is older with arthritis and I wish I could have started doing these little adjustments of comfort from the start. I am going to try the epsom soak! Also use oil to clean dirty paws with stuck debris, it’s the best for removal. Don’t forget an ear cleaning solution! Never use peroxide. Buy one for dogs!
Your boys did such an amazing job! So well behaved! My pup gives me a hard time just getting rid of eye goobies or washing her feet and face after walks. I don’t know how my groomer does it and she says my pup is good for her. 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ I think my puppers is playing me and I’m completely falling for it! 😂😂😂 Great job, Nikki!

I groom my dog myself now, because his groomer is sick. I am not great at it, but he looks okay. I always think that the point of grooming him is that he feels comfortable after :)

How Excellent! You did great 💯❤💯 Piper is a little Shihtuz and I want her to grow out. Soon yes to be grown daily but we don't use any clippers.

Most groomers here are closed. We did our Isabella on our own. I am very nervous doing her nails. I have a variable speed Dremel moto tool that I feel safer using on her nails. I ordered very fine grit sanding drums from Amazon. The key is to do the nails slowly If you grind to long on one it will get to hot. I went back & forth on each foot until I reached my desired length. However, Isabella didn't get the great spa treatment Bently & Albert did, LOL. You are a good Mom.

Hi my name is Navia I have one Yorky named Prince I am so excited for this video and I’m watching it right now I’ve also wanted to see some grooming tips because I want to see if Prince likes it a bit better because he scared when he goes can you do a small business how I am about to launch my small business
They are so cute. You did a great job. I'm sure it helped that their were cooperative. Most dogs acted like I was killing them when I gave them baths. I don't have any pets right now but I didn't do that much for them. I'd give them normal baths, trim their nails, and use something to get off the natural shed hair. I mostly had short haired dogs so didn't need any trimming which is a good thing as I would cut their hair too short. Daniel is terrified of dogs. The neighbors dogs would jump on him when he was little and he's sensitive to their barking. I didn't do anything for the pet mice and hamsters. To get them to smell better you simply change their bedding. You do need to get things to chew on to keep their teeth from growing too long. I don't have any of those either because I figure Daniel would hurt them or they would hurt him in self defense. All three of us are allergic to cats so we haven't had any. I hope to have farm animals someday and I'm sure special grooming is required for them too.
