Wow. Was not thinking returning for next Paris trip until end October. So surprised that some areas may not even be open by then. Thanks for all the info. Very helpful ❤
Been booked for months!🎉attending Boxing, Track and Field , Mens and Women’s basketball and closing ceremonies. Just paid off our Disney Paris stay 👏Can’t wait to be back in Paris! 🇫🇷🇺🇸🍾🥂
Thank you for posting this! I'll be there for the third time on July 1st. I'm taking my daughter and her friend for their high school graduation trip. It's their first time and I'm getting a little nervous!
Thank you Arielle for your very informative videos! I'll be in Paris during the Olympics, but as I have been so many times in this beautiful city and have covered most sightseeings and monuments, I don't think the restrictions will be bothering me much. At least, I hope they won't! I have however two questions for you. I'm going to be staying in the 6th arrondissement, in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, on the rive gauche. Where should I cross to the rive droite? Are all bridges going to be open to pedestrians, or only some of them? And second, where should I go to see the opening ceremony for free? I know the upper quais of the Seine will be free, but where do you recommend I should go exactly? Which area? I'd like to see a few athletes arrive on the Seine river, it doesn't have to be a perfect view. I just want to experience the opening ceremony event! Thank you!
Thanks for posting this, Arielle. We'll be in Paris for the first time this coming Tuesday. The next two Sundays (June 30th and July 7th) are big travel days for us, do you happen to know if the election voting will impact public transport in and around Paris? Thank you, again!
@@rehabnasher6000 well somehow the union left got elected! Kinda weird for a country leaning right… So for tourists it should be better as no street destruction should happen as the left movement has the ownership of destroying in order to make itself relevant. It won so…
To whoever may read that comment, apologies for the serious tone of this comment, but if you happened to have plan to come to Paris for those Olympics, please just change it, choose another destination. France is currently ruled by an authentically totalitarian, autocratic regime. Democracy has fallen here. Individual freedoms are increasingly threatened. If you love France and want to help the French people, then just boycott the event so that it can be turned into a major failure in the face of the world for Macron and his minions. Please be also aware that the people who make up this regime are truly incompetent, with the mainstream media constantly covering up their blunders. For several years this incompetence has been responsible for an increase in violent crime in the country. It's really worrying that these people could be entrusted with the organization of such an event.
I have a ticket for athletics on 4 th August. I will be in Paris from 3 to 5 August. And if I wanted to go to Trocadero or area of Eiffel Tower to just take pictures do I need Jeux Pass ? Or for example Grand Palais to take pictures. Just outside, not entering. I know that near Eiffel Tower theres a great gift shop. Will it be accessible ?
This is all very overwhelming! I will be visiting Paris one month after the Olympics are finished but it seems like I still might run into some problems. Definitely going to have to comb through this video with a fine tooth comb. Thank you so much for all the info!
We're there August 19 to 24. The website is a bit confusing. Since the dates we're visiting are between Olympics and Paraolympics: Champ de Mar I assume is still closed. But can we still get up close to Eiffel Tower and maybe go up to the top? Tickets are not on sale yet for it. The latest I saw was August 11th. Trocadero Gardens I assume are still closed, but the Place du Trocadero supposedly reopens in time. Is that the place where it's a large square with golden statues around the edges? Seine river cruises, will they remain available? Any way to pre-purchase metro tickets to avoid the up-charge during Olympic season?
Hi , Seine area will be closed til Jul 26 right? Does it mean that the river cruise will resume on the 27th? if yes, do I need to secure a QR code for it?
Great video! So glad I found it! Would you consider making a video with screenshots on how to apply for the pass if you are staying at an airbnb or hotel in the red or grey zones? I’ve been to the site a million times and just can’t figure it out. And based on all the questions on FB, Reddit etc, lots of others can’t figure it out either! 🥵
My family and I will be in Paris July 10-16 and will be staying in the 14th arrondissement, in Montparnasse. We are planning on doing some of the touristy things since some of us have not been there. If the line to the louvre on the metro is closed, what should we do to get there?
Very helpful Arielle. Question: Do those government pages you linked to have a way to read in English? Good point about things to consider both pre and post actual games. Sounds as if it will be a nightmare to be in Paris this summer. One has to wonder if overall tourism will go down even with the Olympics.
Just FYI - The interactive map does not show anything gray or red zones for these two days but keep in mind that they might be dimentaling some sites or preparing for the Paralympics. if you are on foot, you should be fine. Have a good visit.

Sounds crazy and exciting. Hoping to attend when the Olympic Games come to Los Angeles. Thanks for the detailed video.
Thank you very much for this! Just got our Navigo in the mail. Looking forward to our crazy week there during the Olympics😅

Definitely helped make decision to cancel my trip in August!
You are so clear and thorough 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Very helpful. I’m planning on being in Paris at the end of August/early September and may need to rethink my plans now.
Just returned from 2 weeks vacation ( been going for years) in Paris. I’m glad I won’t be there for the Olympics as it will be crazy!
Hi where are the links to the various maps etc you referenced in your video. Am I missing them?
Great intel. Thanks!

My trip is booked for mid-October. Hopefully the Champ-de-Mars will be mostly open by then 😬
Salamat
Uff da, I feel for the residents of Paris. What a cluster 😅
Hi, if I book the qr code using (for example) a Louvre ticket, Will I be able to enter the perimeter all week?
I’m glad I’m going in March of 2025 😮
Wow, willt be in Paris in two weeks for a few days n for the first time. Never gave the Olympics a thought. Too late to cancel.
Not worth the hassle. Will watch from my comfy sofa. Thanks for the info. Had no idea it would be this complicated.
