He'll be limited if drafted into the wrong scheme, but limitLESS if drafted into the right one. Darren Sproles, Danny Woodhead, and even Randall Cobb (more of a true WR but still gets a ton of plays out of the backfield) all take really good offenses with great QB/WR/TE trios to the next level. Not to mention the return game. I'm excited to see Austin, De'Anthony Thomas from Oregon, and Dri Archer from Kent State make the jump to the NFL over the next few years. All 3 look like Sproles clones.

I personally played againist Tavon Austin in high school, my brother played againist him in pop warner he always been a threat & hes small so hes more of a slot receiver hes often compared to Wes Welker, hes a Wes Welker, Reggie Bush type, so he.gonna shine regardless Bmore all day, bet The Pats take em if they dont re sign Welker!!

He puts Tavon at RB and gives him 21 carries and Tavon Austin breaks a Big 12 record rushing for 344 yards and having 512 (512!!!!!) all purpose yards that evening...

Evan Williams wes welker isnt close to austin as far as athletism and pure speed and angility.. welker was a great player im not taking anything from the man but the systems he played in fit his strengths and dont forget wes had tom brady and peyton manning throwing him the ball lol thats like 6 rings between them 2 guys .. imagine if tavon was on that 07 undefeated patriot squad with brady and the most talented football player ever in randy moss ... imagine having to worry about randy going deep and tavon in the slot lol .... id like to have seen moss and tavon line up and have a 100 yard dash.. tavon would win the first 30 to 40 yards then moss would get them long legs moving and pull away
