Harald, i need to commend you on your narration and sense of humor. It's admirable how the quality doesn't dwindle when you are hungry, alone out there, despite the long, solitary trek in those solemn, silent mountains & how it must be affecting you mentally. Your style of "vlogging" is amazing; simple, minimal editing, great camera angles. I have been watching your videos for years now, and your journeys always inspire me.

This takes me back. I did the Manaslu trekking with a group of really good friends back in 2016 and it was the most impressive trekking i have ever done. We have been up to 5100 meters through Larke Pass. One of our friends busted her ankle on day 2 and had to take the helicopter flight back. It dawned to me: the only way out of here is on your own feet or by helicopter. The mountains are so high, it`s amazing truly. I still feel blessed that i got to experience this.

The trail was gone and our guide had to show us both across a steep unstable gravel slope to safety instead of the previous existing safe route. Just goes to show how mountains can change one's plans. Good luck with improving your axe wielding Norseman skills.

Fun-fact: I don't know if it's interesting or not, but the place ruined by the earthquake "ghodatabela" at 0:27:14 literally translates to Horse Stable. So, maybe that's why there were horses at the place.

On a sidenote: Throughout the whole video i kept thinking to myself, how this entire adventure is straight out of Skyrim.. like the pilgrimage to High Hrothgar. I played skyrim music in low volume while watching this video and it really supplements the experience.

I just had a conversation about how I used to climb rock cliffs and steep pathways by the chattahoochee river in the Atlanta area, while smoking pot and drinking wine to make it more interesting and dangerous I guess, but it’s no comparison to going to the favelas and other dangerous trips you’ve taken! It's not easy walking up N down on mountain areas. I, myself went for hiking dorzens of times at such area so I know how difficult it is. We started from morning 6 to evening 5 and at the end of day, our legs felt so weak that we can't even stand properly. So I'm impress how he can still do it while narrating the scene... ✌
