The bfg km2 tires that came on my Willys Gladiator have impress me! It’s like I can’t make them lose traction on gravel or in mud. They just go. Yes, they are louder than an all terrain tire but I was surprised at the low level of the noise for the type of tire. Certainly quieter than my brother in laws truck with mud tires. Would I buy them again, probably not! I am 72 years old and I really don’t need a mud tire. Probably just go with bfg ko2

I just went from the stock 245 75r17 to a 285 70r17 and went with Venom Power Terra Hunter R/T's and I must say I love them. The ride is good with a little hum but not bad at all. Haven't been off road yet but I'm sure itching to. I enjoy your videos great content.

On my tj I run general grabber x3s in a 35x12.50 r15 on my Tacoma I run general grabber atxs in a 265/75/r16 love them both

I'm running the Falken 285-70-17 6 ply on the Tacoma. No need to run 10 ply on a mid size truck, some brands don't offer a 6 ply in sizes many are interested in. Going 10 ply makes for a rough ride even aired down.
I put on 35x10.50x17’s on stock steel wheels. No rubbing, no plastic trimming or removal.

For every day all terrain tires, I find the the general grabber apt on my Tahoe for majority of on road. I really haven’t test them on light off road, for where I live city removed a lot of off roading land and replaced it with lots and lots of houses and condos.also my tire is winter rated, has the snow flake and mountain 🏔 and last year when I bout them in late April, change over from my true winter tires it handle the snow dump in early May minus 5 Celsius and the week before we had plus 17 degrees Celsius. Talk about a good twenty three difference❄️🥵to 🥶🥶🥶🥶. And in the snow and cold did very good and it a quiet tire .

I’ve had the duratracs on my old 99 XJ and they were very good tires in all conditions. And I’ve had BFG ko2’s on an old TJ and my most recent JK rubicon and they were better in snow and quieter than the duratracs but not as good in mud. When I get newer bigger tires for my 2020 JT I’ll most likely be getting the ko2’s. But I’m also on the fence about the at3w’s too.... it’s a hard decision. I always say that spending a little extra on a better quality tire will always be worth it because they’re the only thing connecting you and your two ton machine to the road

Different trim levels different tires. The Rubicon & Mojave in 2020 came with the same tire you went to on your Gladiator (same size same brand). They can have either the All Terrain or the Mud Terrain. Think the Willys has a more aggressive tire than the std highway tire. Part of the bigger price tag on the higher end models is for better tires. Now if you want 35s or 37s or bigger then you will have to replace but 33s can come from the factory.
As you said, the BEST tire is highly subjective and depends on the intended use.
Rob, have you looked into a stubby antenna for the Gladiator. I just. Got the CravenSpeed Stubby Antenna Replacement for The Jeep Wrangler (JK)(JL) and Jeep Gladiator (JT) 2007-2021 | 3.2 inches from Amazon for $17.50. It works really well.

No, it works well. This is my second replacement. I first bought one that was about 10 inches and it worked well too. But then I saw this 3 1/2 and had to try it. No reception problems. It’s kinda of amazing.

Did you have to remove the side front bumpers in order for the tires not to scrub?
Just the air deflectors will do it I believe.
Rob the falcon wild peaks do you look pretty nice, kind of an all-terrain tire like my truck has, of course I still have the same tire, Toyo i’m still fine with him them, very little road noise which I like as opposed to our Moab which has mud terrain or whatever they are those things are noisy!!

Yes. The more aggressive the tread, the louder the tire.

Do you think the tire poke you love, throws up stuff on yours and other peoples vehicles? I always think about that when I see trucks with the tires sticking out of the wheel wells.
Probably so. How much more (if any)...who’s to say🤔
For that reason poke is actually illegal in most places without mudflaps. I know around here cops give out tickets a few times per year for this type of stuff. It's like a tint ticket. You can go years without getting one, or you can get one every few months hah.

I’m not sure if I would get larger tires for my Gladiator. The truck undergoes extensive collision testing, with engineers that provide a certain safety rating. Everything has been calculated for performance as well. Otherwise, anything different, the truck is out of specs. Most of the time, the engineers, I think, know more than me. I probably wouldn’t say this, before I bought the truck at $55,000. Ha ha ha. I’ve done things like jacking my other trucks up, and larger tires. But “IT SEEMS” like the people that have modified their Gladiator like that, it doesn’t look a whole bunch different than stock. That is unless your making such drastic changes. My 2005 Wrangler, with the 12.5 x 33 tires stick out the sides. And mud and debris gets all slung out over the sides of the truck, as well as the mirrors. It looks great as long as there is good weather, and your truck is clean. Years ago, I lived in Upstate NY, and drove 2 two hours into work in NYC each day. That’s into work. I worked a 10 hour day, and drove another 2 hours back home. Keeping the mirrors clean, kept me from making bad accidents. Snow and salt, hurricanes, torrential downpours of rain. It all gets slung out all over the sides of the truck and mirrors. The wide tires can cause hydroplaning on wet roads, and harder to stop on wet roads as well. I’m sure that you know what I mean. Lol. I had a hard time trying to be safe. Btw NYC was where the money was.
