I was working, all of a sudden, some notification popped up and by mistake, I clicked cancel. And the work that i did was deleted. How should I recover that, someone pls help.
The 2nd method only works if you already have this enabled. You only showed us how to recover an unsaved file when you have this option enabled. My illustrator crashed, I didn't get the popup window so I can't use Method 1 and I haven't had this enabled BEFORE my illustrator crashed so I can't use method 2 either. Method 3 is a freaking advertisement and this tip doesn't help me to get my lost file back.
Finally I found the hidden "Library" ("Biblioteca") folder but inside "DataRecovery” hadn't nothing, I just lost the images of my document and had to recovery them manually. I guess it happened because I was using my old MacBook unibody with only Core 2 Duo processor.
I have a problem with my Adobe illustrator 2020 When I tried opening my project it was showing text import option I tapped on okay and I did not see any of my drawing on that project It was empty. Pls what should I do?
This didn’t help me. I have a Mac book and the files from auto save are not allowing me to opening them up because they are scripts instead of files. Someone please help 😭

I replaced my file witth an empty file by accident because they had the same name but can't seem to find the folder with backup files. is there anybody who knows what I can do?? :(
Hi there, thank you for your question! Start by checking the Recycle Bin or Trash, as the original file may have been sent there. On Windows, you can try restoring a previous version by right-clicking the file, selecting Properties, and using the Previous Versions tab, assuming File History is enabled. If that doesn't work you can try data recovery software to potentially recover the file but it isn't guaranteed.

With the second method, the file just opens as a series of text. Am I doing something wrong, or is this just the completely wrong file?
click open with and choose illustrator
