I have a box full of containers and do-dads for making travel palettes. It's kind of a hobby in itself, right?! I'll have to look into the gum containers. That's a new one for me.
Creative ideas! I like the wooden box with posts in the corners. I was going to put strips of wood inside for a 'shelf', but that takes up more valuable space. Your post idea is better. Thanks!
I use the altoids box with half pans. Works great. And there are brushes which are meant for travel kits that fit inside. Thank you for sharing some interesting ideas.
I suspect there are many of us the same way, obsessing about making paint boxes out of other stuff. lol Mine is watercolor boxes, so always needing something that can hold paper, board, block of paper more level, so a bit of struggle for that. I like the hinge your son printed. Enjoy!
oh my gosh I'm just like you! I love making kits out of all kinds of boxes and tins. I love your cigar box, nice wood, and how clever you figured out doing the canvas holder! Oh the gum is called Chicklets!! I knew it as soon as you said gum that came in it! haha. For your Altoids tin, use a bit of blue tack under the plastic paint tray to hold it in place. I use blue tack on all kinds of things.
Awesome - i did the same with a pencil crayon box -I use it as a palette . Its so much better than the palettes on the market. They are white - I was looking for grey colour . So the tin colour is perfect neutral low tone colour to mix white and other colours onto ..

Love the gum tray !! Idea
Beautiful box the first one. Isn’t the tripod Mount fixed inside out? Does it thread the right way?
genius
1:24 Your T Nut needs to be mounted inside the box. As you have it, it will pull out as the tripod screw is tightened.
Sheer genius. Thank you for sharing.

You should make and sell these!
Beautiful. Want to sell it for a reasonable price?
Chiclets, I think that's the gum.
Awesome design. But the T-nut is in upside down.
