High Specs aren't really needed (plus this is a mid range phone, doesn't make sense to complain) unless you're gaming. 60hz is good enough unless you really like doom scrolling. The size, expandable storage, and audio jack make it worth it. People are complaining because it's not another generic cookie cutter boring android phone.
I'm using it as my main driver day to day. It's replaced my Samsung s23 ultra and iPhone 15 pro max. This is not a light weight phone - except physically it is light.
@@AndrewUA-camhandlecan this replace my S23 plus and iPhone 14? Just sick of not having an SD card slot or headphone jack, been meaning to get a Sony phone for ages.
I'm using this phone for a while now and still love it. I downgraded from s23 and it's by far the best choice I have made. The phone is fast enough, camera is decent, battery life is insane, headphone jack, expandable storage. Small screen. It's a win for me
So what makes it better? You can “downgrade” your S23 by using light performance mode and set the screen refresh rate to 60Hz so perhaps it will be closer to 10 VI's performance (or lack of) and battery life.
@@rrsharizamI downgraded because I don't like how Samsung is processing everything. And the battery life on s23 is sad. The xperia 10 vi easily survives 2 days. I barely use my phone, only some texting and watching movies
well, you would realize that midrangers are enough on what we usually use... i was looking into 10 series as well, but the two previous ones do not have 4k video recording, so i went for 1 v... maybe in the future, especially now since 1 series ditched 21:9 and 4k display is no longer an option... though 10 series is quite small now... i seem to adjust my usage and would need something similar to 1 series, like the 10 plus of long ago... 😅
I've got the 10vi and love it. I'd almost forgotten how nice it is to be able to use a phone one handed. It's light too. And the tall screen makes it very useful. Audio is excellent: wireless, wired, built in speakers. SD card is very handy. I got rid of my Samsung ultra which was terrible for audio in comparison and not the most comfortable phone to use. The camera is better than I expected. And battery life is excellent (twice that or the Google Pixel 8a). Screen is clear and bright, I don't have any issue with the refresh rate. Downsides: in very bright sunlight it's not as bright as some more expensive models. (It's ip68 as well). For £300 this is fantastic value for money and it's got character and I've ended up using this as my day to day phone despite having phones 3 times the cost. The 3 main reasons: battery life, audio quality and how comfortable it is to hold and use.
At this point, if the next iteration of Xperia 10 can provide 90 Hz screen, use at least SD 7 Gen 1 (SD 7+ Gen 2 would be better) and USB 3.0 port while keeping the same price, then that would be a better buy for Sony mobile phone fans.
Im using Xperia 10 iii as my 2nd backup phone. What i can say is that the 10 series targets people who wants a great compact battery phone. Im sure it can sell well if it retails for rm1499 or below.

I personally really like Sony phones. Even since their Z series lineup. Their designs are sleek and premium. The near stock android in their phones is by far the cleanest I've seen after Google Pixel. Don't need fast processors for the UI to feel smooth.
