Thank you for this Olga it really is helpful. I have 2 very old rose plants from my mother and they are exactly as you describe so i hope i can save them♥️
We have a Nevada in our front garden. It is perfumed & free flowing. Been there for over 30 yrs. at one point it would have 1000 roses over the season. I'd dead head n count. A few yrs ago a professional gardening friend pruned it on the green 3.5 ft up & it was great. Sadly the bush was damaged (not sure how) & there is just 1 new area & an old one. A big box is between them s0 it is like having 2 plants. Oh well i'll wait n' see.....not giving up yet
There a bush growing in a pointed wood frame trellis on the side of your house, what is the plan growing there please? Love your organic garden and the woven wattle basket for the clematis, brillant!
Thanks Olga. I was wondering if you might be able to do a topic on stunted rose plants? For example young rose plants (in pots) that won't grow big, very thin stems and very little roots and how to break out of this cycle.
Thank you, Olga! When the old gnarly cane is very thick and hard to reach within the newer stems, how do you recommend cutting it? I’ve seen you use a battery-powered saw that is quite narrow. What is that tool called?
Hi Mary, I would recommend a hand saw with the curved blade. One day I will do a video about my tools. The saw you mentioned is a battery operated reciprocating saw. I have a poor quality one, actually just broke it. I am looking into DeWalt tools right now for it.
Hello Olga! I love watching your videos! I saw that your beautiful Lady of shallot rose had no leaves in autumn. Does it mean we should get rid of the leaves? I am just staring with roses.
Hi there, yes, do get rid of infected leaves before winter. All sorts of diseases overwinter on those dead leaves and you want to break that cycle of reinfection in spring. Good sanitation is a must with disease susceptible roses. It is generally a good idea with all roses.
Hi Olga. Great video. Question for you: What is the plant in the white planter next to you ? I have had this plant for years and have never been able to figure out what it is. THANK YOU!
Hello Olga!

Don’t give up on the plant. Wait till next year. Many plants revive in spring

Thank you dear Olga. Very informative. Could you do a video on getting Rose stems to root ? I have a hard to find rose, and I would like more of her!
Thank you for your suggestion. I will do such video in the future.

That is my amaryllis which I purchased last year in bloom. I am keeping that bulb in my sunroom.
