And then everything goes black and white, and a red line of blood rises upwards, ascending past the limits of the galaxy, as the lines of the empire fade out. I feel like there's some ultimate message here, some life lesson I'm supposed to have learned because of that. Yes, that ending did actually hurt me, specially looking at the flashbacks, a creature thinking of all its ancestors and how it got to this point, See you in the other side, Captain Wormaster)
There's something oddly beautiful about the tale of the pitiful worm....born lowly and defenceless, the species struggled everyday for survival. But eventually, after many years, the tables were turned. The pitiful worm was no longer pitiful as they took control of the known universe, even dethroning the mighty grox....but in the end, the worms lost. The worms made their final stand. They knew they were going to lose, but they fought anyways. And as the final blood of the final worm is spilled, it makes its way into the vast emptiness of space, leaving the audience with a faint and nostalgic glimmer of hope....that maybe.....just maybe, the cycle may begin once again. It has truly, truly, been a very long, roundabout path. Arigato, Narotiza
zzzack nope. Not shelter. Though to be fair, there are probably like a million sad or otherwise emotionally hard hitting endings where arigato is an important phrase. It literally means goodbye, so I guess it'd be pretty widespread as far as memorable quotes go.
Created in good fun, the subtle shift from mockingly humorous and stilted animation to something with passion, all while preserving that feel of something not-too-serious adds up to something that can only be described as a surreal experience past 55:00. What Narotiza has created here is truly art, and shows us all that enjoying what you are making can result in fantastic works that only they could have created. This is unequivocally something that is theirs and theirs alone, and that there will never come a time where original content can no longer be created. I had a blast, and would gladly watch this over and over again, to experience the jovial and silly tale of the Worm Empire, and their noble (if somewhat demented) leader as they carve their name into the universe in a box that is Spore.
I know you're probably not going to see this because this video is like two years old at this point, but you're genuinely a really good animator and cinematographer! Holy shit.
Well, you could probably tell them yourself if you wanted to. There's this game called "Thrive" that the creator of the worm series is helping work on. It's basically the spiritual successor to spore with a lot of work and commitment put into it. It's been slow progressing for a couple years now, but has picked up the pace a lot in recent years. You could find them on the discord server for it and look forward to the project they're helping create that might inhabit the next worm
Wow, this had.. a much higher production value than I was expecting it to. Sure, the animation was "cheesy", but it clearly had a lot of work and heart put into it. Well done.
Holy shit. What a start to 2019. I didn't think this series would get anymore updates and got surprised by this... It gave me severe homestuck flashbacks and the story told ended up being more moving than it was probably supposed to be. This is probably more than anyone thought could ever be gotten out of this game times 10. These worms shall forever stay in my memory.
The ending was so beautiful.. It truly shows the life of the worm, how it all was worth it.. from your smallest adventure, to the final adventure The pitiful worm was born as any other. But he was a legend. One that will never be forgotten.
Rest In Peace, Wormy Wormson. He Died as he lived.... Like any other of his kind.... He was a noble worm, And he died a Noble worm... May his soul live on forever in the cosmos...

No! I actually ended up emotionally invested in this! How could you?! But seriously this was great, the effort you must've put into this is amazing. Great work!
I hope the Wormy Wormson returns someday. Naro is working on a game called "Thrive" and it's been kicked into high gear this year. it gives me hope that this spiritual successor to spore will be the stage for the worms once more
When I first watched this series it gave me the motivation to continue playing spore into the space stage. The game just stops being fun unless you try to be creative at how you interact with the galaxy, something more complex than war or peace, but rather a conflict in between, as well as a plan for just how you'll manage to become more powerful. After a war that lasted thousands of years that limited my expansion, I was able to use wormholes to create colonies across the galaxy that would increase the produce of my spice trade, as well as connect ties to the Grox. But, like your own empire, the last time I played the foundation was beginning to crack. I had expanded too quickly, and now left myself vulnerable to multiple threats. I was sure to reinforce each planet to it's fullest but in the end it takes more than a couple turrets to keep a planet safe. speaking of this grim fate of mine, as sad as our ends are, it serves a lesson that empires rise and fall. It happened to the Grox, It happened to you, It happened to me. And after the dust settles historians simply put the pieces together. I commend your creative storytelling Naro, whether it was intentional or not for the worms to go down this path. Happy New Year.
To anybody coming back to this video after some time to witness the worms once more, go check out "Thrive". It's a video game setting out to be the spiritual successor of Spore, and Naro is on the programmer team for it! It's setting the stage for the next worm empire, just you wait and see!
Did anyone else get extremely strong Homestuck vibes during that sweet animated ending, or was it just me. Also, who else has been here since the first one?
revisiting this title after several years, and it still manages to get to me. the End of Worm in an amazing animation that reminds me of a certain webcomic that i dare not speak the name of, but in the most amazing way. somehow i cannot help but shed a tear for our beloved hero/war criminal Wormy Wormson... thank you for taking us on this journey, narotiza. i shall not forget this epic tale of friendship, war, defeat, and Worm.
the worm, an astral colony set powering though harsher than the grox, after billions of centuries of rebellion, has been ended. after all this time, the most pacifistic and herbivorous species, declared war with the entire galaxy, and nearly finished off the grox, and every other colony eventually torn apart by it's own harsh doings and tyranny. this is an ending more dramatic than the pacifist ending, and i salute you for your gratitude, perseverance and determination to take on the challenge, and be the weakest species known to human kind and admit defeat after taking over the galaxy that is of spore. cherish this memory - nobody's backup 2018/2019 (it was after Christmas but before new years)
This was incredible, the work put into an hour long video is astonishing. I hope to see you continue to make videos like these (doesn't have to be spore).
Every year I come back to rewatch the whole series, there's just something so hilarious and special about it that I keep re-experiencing the whole as if I was watching it for the first time. Seriously, every artist would die to create something this impactful! Well done, Narotiza. :)
Dude this was such a good ending! and the animation was great, I can really tell you put a lot of effort into this. It's a much better ending to the story of the worms than the game would have given tbh.
Holy heck that was worth the wait! I think you have some real talent with animating a story with little to no words to explain it, the entire ending there was incredibly awesome and I was not expecting it, damn good content right here mean, I hope you do more animation soon!
Wonder if there will be a sequel to this once Naro is finished with the game they're working on, it's called "Thrive". It's like a spiritual successor to spore, and it's really been kicked into high gear this year
Wow, I didn't even realised he uploaded the final episode! GLORY BE! That was a pretty epic last episode. I wonder what else there will be... I don't think it can really be topped.
Ok dude that was an amazing adventure that you have shown us there. Spore is a game that I love and with you as player and with those animation to illustrate, it became even more enjoyable so I wanted to give you a big thanks to all that and I hope that you'll some others things like that, because I loved it really.
After viewing this feature, I must say that this is the most gorgeous thing on the face of the galaxy. Such simplicity. Such complexity. Such editing skills! This masterpiece could cure every disease AND bring every disease back at the same time! I hope I don't have ten months for the next one! (if there is a next one, that is.)

Just finished it.
Sadder than every sad movie put together.
Godspeed Wormy Wormson
To anybody coming back to this video after some time to witness the worms once more, go check out "Thrive". It's a video game setting out to be the spiritual successor of Spore, and Naro is on the programmer team for it! It's setting the stage for the next worm empire, just you wait and see!
Did anyone else get extremely strong Homestuck vibes during that sweet animated ending, or was it just me.
Also, who else has been here since the first one?
Same here. Like, I expected a => to appear at the end or something
I did
I did too
I have never watched Homestuck, but it still seem familiar
The magic of the worm, I guess...
If that's what homestuck is, I goota find it!
ok but why did this make me cry, literally one of top 10 youtube playthroughs I’ve ever seen. This belongs in a museum.
i cry too
what on earth did I just watch... and how did I watch it in one sitting

The first half of this series: he's got style he's got grace, where is his crotch, is that a face.
The second half: I have no mouth, but I must scream
i can die a happy man

revisiting this title after several years, and it still manages to get to me. the End of Worm in an amazing animation that reminds me of a certain webcomic that i dare not speak the name of, but in the most amazing way. somehow i cannot help but shed a tear for our beloved hero/war criminal Wormy Wormson... thank you for taking us on this journey, narotiza. i shall not forget this epic tale of friendship, war, defeat, and Worm.
Is that Webcomic Homestuck, might I ask?
(Ik this comment is two years old but still. The Homestuck vibes were EVERYWHERE)
the worm, an astral colony set powering though harsher than the grox, after billions of centuries of rebellion, has been ended.
after all this time, the most pacifistic and herbivorous species, declared war with the entire galaxy, and nearly finished off the grox, and every other colony
eventually torn apart by it's own harsh doings and tyranny. this is an ending more dramatic than the pacifist ending, and i salute you for your gratitude, perseverance and determination to take on the challenge, and be the weakest species known to human kind and admit defeat after taking over the galaxy that is of spore. cherish this memory - nobody's backup 2018/2019 (it was after Christmas but before new years)
At the end I was just crying, that emotional tone and music in last scenes were just too much. Thank you for these series, I will never forget them.
ending 2018 right
Yes
This was incredible, the work put into an hour long video is astonishing. I hope to see you continue to make videos like these (doesn't have to be spore).
Yay! I love these videos
Today we bathe in the, joy
No ... we bathe in FLAAMEES
today we bathe in tears to forever remember the worms
I hope there's a season 2
nah, they just have become this:

Ryaquaza 1 Your username bothers me so much
The end to this dramatic tale, I wasn't ready for this. My feels, they hurt.
Child: Dad? Why is it that we should be ashamed of our heritage?
Dad: Well son, let me tell you the story of our people...
Is the dad a /wormslayer?/
@@frogface167 the dad is a worm
Every year I come back to rewatch the whole series, there's just something so hilarious and special about it that I keep re-experiencing the whole as if I was watching it for the first time. Seriously, every artist would die to create something this impactful! Well done, Narotiza. :)
My actual vocal reaction to this notification was "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"
Mine was 1.5 second gazp
Mine was "HUUUUUUUUH?"
Why did I read that "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" in Jerma's voice?
I never thought I would feel these emotions watching a spore video wtf
Dude this was such a good ending! and the animation was great, I can really tell you put a lot of effort into this. It's a much better ending to the story of the worms than the game would have given tbh.
I still watch this entire series from time to time, one of my all time youtube favourite
YES A NEW WORM VIDEO!
I've never felt so much emotion for a worm . . . Congrats on the series.
Holy heck that was worth the wait!
I think you have some real talent with animating a story with little to no words to explain it, the entire ending there was incredibly awesome and I was not expecting it, damn good content right here mean, I hope you do more animation soon!
incredibly dramatic, slightly surreal, definitely worm-y, 10/5
Wonder if there will be a sequel to this once Naro is finished with the game they're working on, it's called "Thrive". It's like a spiritual successor to spore, and it's really been kicked into high gear this year
I always knew the worm was capable of limbs
I don't know what I took so long to watch this series. It was wonderful.
Wow, I didn't even realised he uploaded the final episode! GLORY BE!
That was a pretty epic last episode.
I wonder what else there will be... I don't think it can really be topped.
The worms have undoubtedly left their mark on the Galaxy. Nothing will be the same without them.
Ok dude that was an amazing adventure that you have shown us there. Spore is a game that I love and with you as player and with those animation to illustrate, it became even more enjoyable so I wanted to give you a big thanks to all that and I hope that you'll some others things like that, because I loved it really.
When you rewatch after nearly a year and you can still say the end animation is still better that the actual gameplay
1:04:38 Narotiza just predicted The Rise of Skywalker nearly a year in advance.
More, MORE!
I mean, it doesn't have to be spore, but...
*MOOOOOORRRRRE*
A BLESSING FROM THE LORD.
Heresy! It is from our beloved Worm Jesus Christ, and you shall recognize that! Repent, and he/she/it may spare your soul! REPENT!

Now, we need Narotiza to play Thrive as a worm.
FUCK YEAH WE DO!
The ending legitimately moved me
Thank you for the wormclusion, your rudimentary animation was incredibly well composed and evocative
I find myself coming back to this series, and this final episode especially, it's a really amazing work you've made here.
The fact that this only has 60k views makes me upset
After viewing this feature, I must say that this is the most gorgeous thing on the face of the galaxy. Such simplicity. Such complexity. Such editing skills! This masterpiece could cure every disease AND bring every disease back at the same time!
I hope I don't have ten months for the next one! (if there is a next one, that is.)
ive rewatched this series like 5 times and i still love it
What a quality content, you can feel all the hours of work and all the patience, its kinda sad this is not a popular channel, but it will soon be, nice video
UA-cam likes to screw smaller channels like his, honestly though, this was fantastic. The best ending to a trilogy.
The Great Gamers There are more than three worm vids you know.
@@SuperBrassBender honestly, I don't really know why I said trilogy. You know what, it was probably because of all the research on knights of the old republic three I was doing.
Edit: I changed off to of in my seccond sentence.
Yeah, it is sad this isn't a popular channel. Without frequent uploads, youtube will basically leave it for dead. Still, Naro is helping work on a game called "Thrive" which is basically spore's spiritual successor. Maybe she'll have more videos out once that's over, and she'll make the worms take the galactic stage once more
Started as an interesting challenge, transformed into a cinematic masterpiece, truly amazing....
This was undoubtly the most majestic, amazing, and well-made series i've ever watched. It had everything:
Good animation
Good story
Good characters
Good everything.
Wonderful. Absolutely wonderful.
Also can we get an F for the almighty worm empire?
F

FFFFFfffff

Honestly one of the best, if not THE BEST videos in the whole of youtube... so much effort went into this
I can't believe you got the full next Star Wars movie on youtube.
i clicked on this video expecting some funny goofs and now i actually feel genuinely emotional
this is really fucking cool please make more stuff like this
That was, without a doubt, the best movie I've ever watched.
This was definitely the best installment in the series: the funniest, the most entertaining, and the animation bits were great. Sad to see the worms go...
