Thanks for sharing this, I experienced this when the check engine is light up on my fiesta S 2014 1.5L, but the solution for now is to make sure that the voltage is correct, lets say i have bad start voltage below 10V then it will happen if I drive for 10 minutes, if the starter voltage is 10V or above its back to normal and its smooth. The way i fixed it when the check engine is on is first stop the car, wait like 30 mins, turn the ignition (II), make sure the ac, head light and radio is on, then I will get like 13V now, rev on 2000 rpm for about 5 second and turned the engine off, wait 5 minutes and the check engine light is off and the transmision is good. Some cases that why the starter volt so low (below 10) is because sometimes I lock (which has auto retract mirror) and unlock for several times to take something on my car, also the light is on when the door open until i lock the car again, this is most cases that I have experienced
