We run a 747 Manitou, we’re in Ontario Canada. We have a 300 head dairy op. These machines are great, the manitou allong side our self propelled TMR mixer works great. Moving snow, bales, feed. Every odd job. Grapple buckets. There now a vital part of our operation and will be for a long time.
Eric i could not help but notice how many of the ladies were watching approvingly of you & your dad improving their sleeping/lounging area!!! Y'all have such a beautiful herd and they are all so happy. Great work by you and your dad. You two truly are amazing men.
Eric, I want to thank you for all of the great videos that you make for us to enjoy. I know it must make your work a lot more difficult and just want you to know it is really appreciated and respected. Thanks for this great video too.
You look like a natural in the orange Manitou, I really like the telehandler. The turning radius is really good and the 2-yard bucket, well, what can I say - awesome.
Those telehandlers are nice. About a dozen years ago I worked for a company that used a Bobcat skid steer. We used it to haul popped perlite, so when I went to lower it to the bin, I accidentally hit the lip of the bin too hard and dumped a bunch onto myself. No plexiglass on the opening, I was not happy. One of those telehandlers would have been great to use. Thanks for sharing, have a great day.
While watching you and your dad work, I was checking out the girls. With all the pounding and sawing and rattling of the power driver, they seemed so cool about what I was thinking would freak them out. You make a really good life for your herd. They are calm and happy. You give these animals a good life. I love that about you and your family, Eric.
One thing, on telehendler when forks are way too apart never move left one always right, because usually you cant see right fork, so you have better orientation when unloading.
I have manitou telehandler too, we bought it brand new in 2013, and it is working to this day smoothly, put 6800h. and its main hands of the farm compared to the loader on tractor, which is good but it is not the same work quality and speed. Also as i see they left the same joystick which is great news, we have the same joystick ands it is amazing, sensitive but not too much, responsive and i dont need any shaking option for bucket to clean it, i have tried also other telehandlers, but that joystick is more natural to the palm. great machine, especially when i need too load thousands of bales. Cheers from Lithuania :)
The Manitou looks quite agile and easy in and out for the operator. It would come in handy come fall lifting pallets of tire weights up onto the crop cover. Cheers 🇨🇦
Your dad is a beast! At his age doing this kind of work -- is truly admirable. Dairy work (and pig work) is probably the most difficult farming known to man. It takes a special breed of person to endure this type of work. If you know, you know. Thanks for what you do...and I wish your brand of milk was sold in Nevada. You might consider internet ordering for some of you products...I for one would pay more to have something of quality shipped to me. Easy to say - probably not easy to do...but should you find a way, please do share the links. I will happily pay.
It's interesting that you can move from one machine to another and learn the ins and outs of how to handle it SO QUICKLY!. I guess if you couldn't do that, you wouldn't stay in the farming business! Thanks again for another informative video.
Bro your channel is about to blow up. I'm new and you've got a winner here. I can't stop watching. Hopefully UA-cam can help you all out with some well deserved funds. The algorithm gods favor you.
I love seeing a father and son work so well together. That is obviously something your family has done for a long time based on name of channel. God bless❤️
I love Manitou telehandlers. We have them in the UK and when you see them working on building sites they are very impressive. I nearly applied for a job as an operator coz I heard that they were on like £14/hour, but then I found out about all the training you needed to go through to operate one and I was like "Bugger that!"
The trick to adjusting forks is to tilt them down until the bottom of the fork tyne, where the bend is, just starts to pull away from the back support. Then it’s easy to slide them over.
I was thinking that it would be attractive for the machine manufacturers or the dealer to loan those machines on a longer-term agreement. Mike Morgan (Outdoors with the Morgans channel) has a couple Kubota tractors that are provided to him long-term, which is excellent advert for Kubota. Your channel is growing very nicely, and I imagine you have had a lot of sponsorship offers. Keep up the great work Eric, we all enjoy you and your fathers work.
Great vid Eric..Surprised you don't have cow brushes installed on the farm. I seen some farms with them installed for the cows and they absolutely love them!
The Manitou looks like it is more maneuverable than the JCB. I wonder if you can get a scale for those things so you can see how much material you have in the bucket. I know it's possible with front end loaders.
Eric you should try a telescope wheelloader. We drove a telescopeloader for 10 years and switched to a telescope Wheelloader in 2019. The telescopeloaders get very expensive when they get old or many hours. The hydraulic Lines in the telearm, wheels, axels for example. You also have a much better overview from the (Tele)Wheelloader cab. We are using the loaders for feeding, Straw, construction work and so on we sold the old telescopeloader with 13000hours. Please excuse my bad english Greetings from a German Dairyfarmer
The telehandler looks great! Wonder of anyone has invented a way to put a det of scales on one. 1 you wouldn't have to double back because of extra and 2 you would have basically two sets of scales to compare with.
I’d be curious to see how the manitou does when bedding up at your heifer farm. I’d think it’d fit nicely in the building and be able to spread out the bales easier.
Great video, as usual. Interesting machines. Telehandlers definitely don't tear up the ground like the skid steers do. I wonder if the tires will last longer? Hard decision on which to use for general purposes. Would come down to how much you need the close quarters maneuverability of the skid steer.
I think someome wanted to test these cool machines out because of a certain english dairymans love of them. Tom pemberton. Lol i hope you end up with one if you can justify the cost/use.
Hole in the end of the forks for a shackle and you'll have a mini crane as well. I think for the maneuverability you require the skid steer is difficult to beat but the telehandler is more versatile. A nice problem to think about. Top content mate 👌
You should demo a "Merlo" telehandler if you have a dealer nearby. We have 2 and really like the hydrostat drive. Also the boom controls are very fast compared to other brands.
Good evening father and son is so nice to see you two working so well together. Eric I do have one thing to ask. As these companies let you demo their equipment. Why don't you look into a company that will let you demo a self-propelled feed wagon. That would be very interesting to see. You and your father keep up the good work thank you for showing us what everything goes on in the milking industry. The small County that I'm from used to have 4 Dairy farms and now we don't have any. So may the Lord bless you and the rest of your family be careful and be safe.
That bad boy with the 4w steering has to be a lot easier on rubber and keeps the whole place looking nicer. Is it any better on fuel, and other consumables? Is there a "mulching attachment" available? Those are fun if you have a ton of brushy acres!!!
the big bucket is nice, the manitou seems a bit light to operate it daily in your industry. I don't think it would hold up as well over time as say a proven construction unit like a CAT might. though not as light and nimble far more durable.
Eric love your UA-cam channel and it seems we like some of the same people on the tube I just recently watched a Q&A you did a few years back with your dad it’s was very nice you guys are a great team On that Manitou tele handler It would not be a good idea to remove that safety cage blocking your view Because of the way you windshield leans back it would be a great safety hazard Stand to the side and have someone raise the boom Look at the position of the bucket over your window If anything ever fell out the back of the bucket it would land in the operators lap This would be you If your windshield was more vertical it wouldn’t be such a hazard But I have to tell you I’ve had skid steers among other equipment in the past and only dreamed of the gadgets they put on the machine nowadays very impressive
On your Manitou loader You mostly only handle soft feed and manure but things freeze ware you live So imagine having the bucket in the air hitting a bump and a chunk of frozen silage rolls out the back it would be like a bowling ball coming through your window
The Tele looks usefull and seems to me as an good Invest, Eric. Time is money and it's healthfull you don't have to hop over the Bucket into the kabine. Here in Germany, Nobody uses skidsteer for Farming. It's Alwaysea Gift to make getting work done faster as usual. I"m bedding all my cattle by Hand and by wheel loader. Tomorrow I'm getting a straw blower on Demo. Hope to save me some Time and less some hard Work. Greets from Germany

Your cows are adorable!!! They are like “ whatcha doing guys” “ Love the interior upgrades “. 🙋♀️😊
That looks a lot nicer for loading feed into the mixer other than the skid loader.
I truly hope that with all the success of your channel you guys can treat yourselves to a nice new loader !
It must be comforting knowing your cows are all tucked up inside when it's sloppy outside 🤗
Dairy work in the rain with a Manitou... Feeling a little like Tom Pemberton!
its amazing to see you guys just using these now, we have a manitou and jcb we use all the time for all kinds of jobs and no skidloaders
You look like a natural in the orange Manitou, I really like the telehandler. The turning radius is really good and the 2-yard bucket, well, what can I say - awesome.
The turning radius is fantastic! I like how compact it is and how easy it is to get in and out.
Those telehandlers are nice. About a dozen years ago I worked for a company that used a Bobcat skid steer. Eric, you hopped over that fence like it was nothing. Still have your basketball skills.
We get plenty of that sort of winter weather here in north west England ,but we’d struggle with your cold temperatures ,everything would freeze up 🥶
While watching you and your dad work, I was checking out the girls. I had to watch you again, Eric. I really like you and your world as you and your family make it happen. AND, the girls are just plain charming.
Sure looks like fun to use. I like the all wheel turn instead of skidding.
One thing, on telehendler when forks are way too apart never move left one always right, because usually you cant see right fork, so you have better orientation when unloading.
Great demo hopefully you get to keep one if your looking to buy
I have manitou telehandler too, we bought it brand new in 2013, and it is working to this day smoothly, put 6800h. and its main hands of the farm compared to the loader on tractor, which is good but it is not the same work quality and speed. Eric, you have definitely gotten better at operating the Manitou. It seems smooth to operate. Good luck.
Should see if they have a scale option like big quarry loaders have, no more returning to dump extra commodities in the bays.
Looks like Manitou for the win over the JCB. You have to go with what you feel most comfortable with.
I always enjoy the unique camera angles in every video
I’m liking that new tool! Thank you for all the camera angles and say hello to your dad please. Great work! You never stop moving!
The Manitou looks quite agile and easy in and out for the operator. It would come in handy come fall lifting pallets of tire weights up onto the crop cover.
Cheers 🇨🇦

I enjoy watching the animals inspect everything being done.
That Manitou is awesome saves you time, easier to see out off. Just a better tool to mix and unload trucks with. Better reach!!!!
Awesome Video and Much Love as Always 🐄 Man!!!
Another great video Eric. Thank you and your dad. Steve
I prefer the manitou than the jcb. Both are really good telehanders
We have the next size up and absolutely love it. We put around 1000 hours a year on it and have had very little problems.
Erick I love the way that cow was looking at you at the beginning of the video it was like what the freak are you looking at me for?
It's interesting that you can move from one machine to another and learn the ins and outs of how to handle it SO QUICKLY!. I guess if you couldn't do that, you wouldn't stay in the farming business! Thanks again for another informative video.

I really enjoy watching you and your dad working. I think you can see how proud he is of you and how you both mutually respect and enjoy each other.
Vn
Love the black & white supervisors checking your work
I wanted to compare turning radii between the Manitou and JCB, similar models. Didn’t find the JCB stat. Seems the Manitou had the tighter radius.
I love Manitou telehandlers. We have them in the UK and when you see them working on building sites they are very impressive. I nearly applied for a job as an operator coz I heard that they were on like £14/hour, but then I found out about all the training you needed to go through to operate one and I was like "Bugger that!"
It looks like a Volkswagen bug, but very cool. I am always amazed at the new things they make. Good video
Thanks for taking us along on the trials of your equipment like to hear your thoughts on the differences between both

I think Mike buys those machines at a huge discount.
The side arm seems difficult to use with fork attachment. The maneuvering would be a learning curve. Lol.
Love that machine though.
Time to stop procrastinating and go and buy one of them, you know you're going to!
Great vid Eric..Surprised you don't have cow brushes installed on the farm. I seen some farms with them installed for the cows and they absolutely love them!
He has electric swivel brushes
The Manitou looks like it is more maneuverable than the JCB.

It seems like the skid steer is more nimble than the telehandler, but bigger bucket on the tele means fewer cycles.
The telehandler looks great! Wonder of anyone has invented a way to put a det of scales on one. 1 you wouldn't have to double back because of extra and 2 you would have basically two sets of scales to compare with.
Coming up in the world new loader that is awesome and very nice don’t have to make a lot of trips back and force when mixing feed for cows .
I’d be curious to see how the manitou does when bedding up at your heifer farm. I’d think it’d fit nicely in the building and be able to spread out the bales easier.
Nice video, hope you consider availability of repair parts for both machines. I really like tellahandlers.
Great video, as usual. Interesting machines. Telehandlers definitely don't tear up the ground like the skid steers do. I wonder if the tires will last longer? Hard decision on which to use for general purposes. Would come down to how much you need the close quarters maneuverability of the skid steer.
Now you just need Weavers and Messicks to get in on the demo war and you'll have all the brands competing for your business. Good video as usual!
It may be hard to let that piece of equipment go. 😉 hopefully they can work y’all a good deal if you decide to keep.
Park feeder at a 45 degree angle
LOVE ALL YOUR VIDEOS ERIC HAVE BLESSED DAY

That mirror in the manitou is hilarious 😂
time is money, especially with a young family. any idea on the time savings of feeding with the telehandler vs. current skid steer method?
Can you get a scale on the tele? Might eliminate the double trip to every feed commodity component.
Great vídeo.
Looks alot better feeding. Definitely was more weight seeing it looked a little wobbly loading the mixer.
How does the maneuverability of the Manitou compare to the skid steer? I noticed the rear wheals turn also.
You should demo a "Merlo" telehandler if you have a dealer nearby.
We have 2 and really like the hydrostat drive. Also the boom controls are very fast compared to other brands.

The Manitou sure is a cool looking machine!
Awesome video keep up the great work
The Manitou gotta be the coolest looking farm equipment ever.
It's impressive for your relationship with your father to work together! I argue everytime with bigman but you seem you're doing great it. 👍
That bad boy with the 4w steering has to be a lot easier on rubber and keeps the whole place looking nicer. Is it any better on fuel, and other consumables? Is there a "mulching attachment" available? Those are fun if you have a ton of brushy acres!!!
Is that ready rod thats we call it in MN. I've heard all thread. Its the bomb looking good.
Have you thought about a mini payloader of sorts? Popular on midsized farms here
Dad talking on camera is nice addition.
Why you don't put some material down,.rocks or something to take care of the mud? Excellent 👍 video!
I would go see if it fits in the other barn where you guys rent it would be way faster at loading out manure
Very great new video on the farm again 👍
Hello from just out side Toronto Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 were are you guys farming
At 3:41 when you are backing out there was an illusion of you extending the boom forward as you were backing out.
Nice machine looks like it would up production if it can stand the daily use on the farm
the big bucket is nice, the manitou seems a bit light to operate it daily in your industry. I don't think it would hold up as well over time as say a proven construction unit like a CAT might. though not as light and nimble far more durable.
Kind of disconcerting how much it rocks back and forth when you have a load up to dump it.
Working hard everyone , congratulations on the new equipment , enjoy , stay safe !
I don't think they have purchased it. Demo I think.
Boy it's nice have fast you can jump out of that thing and adjust those forks. Beats climbing out of a skidsteer
That would be alot faster picking up hay bale in the field.
These material handlers don’t seem nimble enough to replace your skid steers.
I didn't check the order of the video but the red tele looks easier than the JCB to learn, maybe just me
Have a go at parking your feed mixer parallel to your commodities barn so you only have to turn 90 degrees not the full 180
Eric love your UA-cam channel and it seems we like some of the same people on the tube
I just recently watched a Q&A you did a few years back with your dad it’s was very nice you guys are a great team
On that Manitou tele handler
It would not be a good idea to remove that safety cage blocking your view
Because of the way you windshield leans back it would be a great safety hazard
Stand to the side and have someone raise the boom
Look at the position of the bucket over your window
If anything ever fell out the back of the bucket it would land in the operators lap
This would be you
If your windshield was more vertical it wouldn’t be such a hazard
But I have to tell you I’ve had skid steers among other equipment in the past and only dreamed of the gadgets they put on the machine nowadays very impressive
On your Manitou loader
You mostly only handle soft feed and manure but things freeze ware you live
So imagine having the bucket in the air hitting a bump and a chunk of frozen silage rolls out the back it would be like a bowling ball coming through your window

Greets from Germany
Love the videos!
Do you guys want to keep one of these units or are you just seeing how they work?
I like that Manitou for your size of operation......
Noticed that when you were loading with a full load and turning hard it was rocking pretty good. Might want to be careful with that
Would be a time saver if teh Manitou had a lift weight option.
As an objective observer, it seems like the telehandlers have more weight distribution but less maneuverability.
If the back up alarm is annoying you put a couple layers of duck tape over it and it'll be way quieter.
