    As always, keeping it real and keeping it simple. Your love of foils makes getting that lighter blonde so much more realistic!!! Thanks for a great video Lexi!!!

    Very few colour experts can get a balayage right. This video clearly displays the natural result of a balayage when done correctly. It looks golden, beachy and sunkissed. She nailed it.

    I LOVE it!
    We have Socolor by Matrix and it is SO warm! Sometimes I use straight Socolor ash on the roots. I only like the grey coverage and Colorsync in Matrix

      Gary Harden Omg I agree!! We use Matrix in my salon too. Colorsync is the only line I like from Matrix. The So Color really is so warm. Its a pain in the ass to work with for me.

    what color did u use for the lowlights ?

  • @terihowey7649
    @terihowey7649 6 років тому +1

    The matrix light master is that just a regular Powder bleach and add the 30 volume to it or did you add something to make it to be a clay lightener?

    • @LexiDawnMcc
      @LexiDawnMcc  6 років тому

      +Teri Howey just the powder lightner!

  • @PinkCheetah011
    @PinkCheetah011 7 років тому +1

    So I went and bought those paint brushes you use and I did a balayage today and the lightener ate up the brush. Like it turned mushy by the end of the service. I was using 40 vol. lightmaster. Has this ever happened to you?? You do amazing work by the way 😊

    • @LexiDawnMcc
      @LexiDawnMcc  7 років тому

      +PinkCheetah011 oh yeah yeah I only use them like 7 times than I have to switch it out for a new one. Especially if you are using a high vol.

    Did you only do surface level hair painting? No saturation on other side?

  • @analio92
    @analio92 6 років тому

    When washing out did you wash together? Or separate the low lights from the highlights

    • @LexiDawnMcc
      @LexiDawnMcc  6 років тому

      I rinse everything out with cold water first so that there is no bleeding from the lowlights into the highlights.

    Lexie. HELP..I got my hair done showed a pic well not..I came out flipping ash. I said no ash. he used Pravana 7n ok dark on me. then toner Pravana toasted coconut. now I look like a old lady. I wanted warm. so I have some eq here in 8g. gold dip..do you think 5 min will warm it up..any idea PLEASE I love your colors as your know colors

    • @Impressions333
      @Impressions333 7 років тому +2

      Cynthia Lopresti your hair might be very porous (dry).....that's when naturals come out dark because the hair grabs the ash color in the natural (which is a blend of all the colors red, yellow & blue) and ash colors appear darker. To rectify it you have to add warm tones back into the hair. I'm not Lexi dawn and I don't have videos on you tube (YET) but I AM A CERTIFIED COLORIST through matrix and Framesi with 25 years experience as a full time cosmetologist. Usually the more Porous hair types grab color quickly but also it releases it quickly as well, so you can wait for it fade or use a golden colored shampoo to replace the gold tone you desire. I do recommend seeing a professional if it's bothering you that much. Hope this helps.

      Many thanks. That's why I thought I might water down some eq gold dip with clear for 5 min. Great info I did not know that. Ash ugh I was mad. Did not say anything. He was so proud.

    What kind of bleach do you use with ph bonder and do you up the developer?

    • @LexiDawnMcc
      @LexiDawnMcc  7 років тому +1

      +alisha bowar i use light master with 30vol usually but it depends on their hair before you start.

    • @apbjbowar
      @apbjbowar 7 років тому

      Lexi Dawn ok! Thank you! So you always use 30 with the ph bonder depending on their hair? As olaplex calls for upping the developer number. I have not purchased a bonder yet so I'm pondering which one to get.

    • @morganwebbmusic
      @morganwebbmusic 7 років тому +1

      alisha bowar I actually read recently that olaplex no longer recommends bumping your developer
