Wow! Congrats man, been watching since almost day one and I know this has been your dream for ages! I'm so excited to see where this goes..you are now locked in on uploading to us! Year round baby! Haha, congrats man , keep us SUPER posted !!
@@rockspowersports never done NH. I’ve been all over central Vermont and the hot spots in Maine. There are trails in the North East Kingdom that are better than anywhere else.
Just purchased a 2005 600 xc sp and a 2006 600 edge touring @ 3600 miles each. Great condition, I like the body style and to me they are worth it. By the way, brand new to snowmobiling.
Here in the west we're in the middle of a big storm... most the riding areas have picked up 2-3' and t here's another 2-3 coming (or more). We're heading out on Monday for a powder day. I have a '23 Khaos 850. I would definitely fix that sled... it's a nice old sled. I'm trying to buy an older M8 as a buddy/backup sled. Oh and I snow-checked a Catalyst 858 (Mountain Cat Alpha One) 154.
Ya same situation up I Thunder Bay Ontario not much snow at all normally have 5 feet base but it is not even 6 inches this year temps all up and down can typically ride into end of April start of May this year riding seasons is done in February
Great videos!! What do you think of the Polaris Edge X 700? Whats the better engine 600 or 700? Also what do you recommend for 2stroke oil to run? Looking at getting a 600 or 700.
That sled is clean, how is it not worth fixing? We now live in a "just go buy a new one" society. But there so many sleds out there like that and can easily be fixed. Not everyone wants to buy new and not everyone can buy new. I love the older stuff and don't mind putting a little money and labor into something to keep it going.
New subscriber here... you don't act all crazy, you don't beg for subscribers, etc. Just good content. Please keep it up!
Thanks! I appreciate that.
Glad your saving this sled and not scrapping it your awesome!!!

Glad you stick around for all the content! It’ll get better as time goes on, and I’ll certainly keep posting.
@Rocks Powersports new subscriber I genuinely enjoy your content!! These polaris sleds have a special place in my heart
@thatmodshop7160 Thank you, glad to have you subscribe. I like those old Edge’s also. Might have to snag myself one one of these days.
the ski could dig in and send me flying...It's a possiblity I could cripple myself but look at me go! ..good vid!
Island Pond is an exceptional zone. Great mix of fast flat wide and up and down mid speed trail . The best
It’s not bad, I like riding all around so I usually take off from here and head into NH.

I like that color, love the bleu skis. My yard is green here no snow left.
Yeah it’s pretty green in a lot of places it seems.

Congrats on the new sleds and welcome to the snowmobiling addiction haha.

We could certainly use 2-3’ here for sure! I’m tempted on the 858 for sure, I do mostly trail riding so it would be the zr for me.
Man 600/700 for a motor is an amazing price, pretty awesome
I am sure marketplace you could find a good used motor for cheap.Sled is in great shape..Needs to be fixed.
Absolutely, we’re keeping an eye out for one.
I agree the machine deserves a new engine, since it was operator error! ☃️👍👍❤️
I'm in maine and same deal. All trails got shut down yesterday
We still have some trails open but the only good trails are higher elevation.

Most all sleds are worth fixing and most parts are accessible. I've just rebuilt a 1990 Yamaha Phazer 2 that is a little Rocket!
My younger brother had a phazer 2 back when we were kids, and man that little thing was fast and lots of fun!
Can't wait for some of those atv videos
vertical escape or vertical edge here in british columbia
Do a cold start on the Polaris diesel
You should not be able to pull that 900 over with 1 hand. Have you checked the compression on it? And holy shit that track is studded lol
I did check compression and she’s running 135lbs.
Nice video...
Its worth fixing, there's plenty of Liberty twins around that would drop right in there.
Arkansas Wavin

But man are there some good looking new sleds. And the same can be said about the older ones too.
Absolutely, and with the price of new sleds being well over $10k fixing these older ones makes sense.
can i have the old engine out of that snowmobile, i have the exact same polaris but red and yellow color scheme and a 500 motor that is kinda worn out
All depends on what the owner wants to do with it. Are you local?
@@rockspowersports how local is local?
@@rockspowersports do i need to be in the same country?
2002 is brand new
good bye snow!!! bring on the atvs!!!!😀😀😀
Honestly he could probably part it out and get more than rebuilding it and buy another
