From what I remembered Starlight and Sunburst inherited the school, since the school is beside the castle and Starlight sleeps there and has her OWN room maybe she inherited the castle too? Or at least took care of the castle.
I really wonder if they'll acknowledge the chest instead of just putting it in as G4 lore, and actually do something with it. That would be so epic!
Wasn’t it a one time activation thing? My memory is a bit fuzzy on how it worked.
@@aestheticniro181 I seriously have no idea. They didn't provide any evidence for or against the subject. In theory, if you took all the keys out of the chest, Twilight's castle would disappear, but that is all speculation.

I am pretty sure the castle of friendship ended up under Starlight's care giving she was in charge of the School and that would make sense especially since she had been living there up to that point
I've always thought that ever since season 4 that the Tree of Harmony already knew which objects the mane 6 would come across throughout there adventures and already infused the magic for them to become the keys, while the mane 6 already had the magic inside them. With the difficult magical task each one of them went through, it brought out the magic to unlock the chest being shown by the rainbow eyes. If that makes any sense at all. It always brings a smile to my face seeing the hypothesis side of the community still going strong as ever, even with G5 making it slightly easy by not explaining much. I've enjoyed every single second second of your content and I can't wait for more to come.
Now that eone is selling to lionsgate maybe they'll make G5 super duper popular again that's for sure

my theory on this is the the tree of harmony turned those items into keys once it unlocked the magic inside each member of the mane 6. and once opaline took the chest and the keys, the magic in them left and they reverted back into everyday objects. what i think will happen is that the tree of harmony will infuse its magic into new significant objects that the new mane 6 will find and those objects will turn into *new* keys.
Maybe this is why we're getting the Breezies now, and they're also focus on Bridlewood.

Maybe Opaline felt like she could unlock any remaining magic in the chest, and simply gave up when she failed.
Letting u know the fifth episode Sunny got a heart shape jewel that spike gave to rarity to wear
Opaline is from Skyros so her magic might be older than magic of Harmony and the Tree. She could just revert Twilights castle back to the chest with simple spell. Problem is we just don't know much about Opaline and how she conquered Equestria and what was her plan other than become a queen. Was she working alone or she had allies? Did she caused racism among ponies or was it caused by someone else? Why would she even cause dissent among ponies instead just use force and take Twilight out? How did she beaten Discord, Starlight and other Alicorns combined?
Omfg there's so many questions bc the writers just don't give a f anymore and now mlp g5 is just a cringy annoying sounding series/movies,mlp g4 was so much better and could've unlocked more potential,and it was literally comedy gold too,but anyway my theory is that this is an alternate timeline that starlight created,hopefully they'll just say that to safe their asses and poor writing skills and ideas,and then release a new season of mlp g4 or a series where it's heavily focused on Starlight's journey and life,and they should animate it with the old animation style from g4 too or else I'm sueing😤

-> ALL of the artifacts (Grogar's Bell, the EQG mirror/portal, etc) are still stored there.
This is convinient because we have never seen this place (only mentioned by Sprout in the movie, hinting that Hitch lives there alone).
A plausible reason why Hitch is currently living in the Police Station is Sparky. Since he was incubated & hatched there (at the door), he has likely "imprinted" the place as his parent's "nest" [not feeling comfortable sleeping in other places].
Aditionally, there may be a concern that either Sparky or the Unity Crystals could interact with those magical objects in unexpected ways [so those must be kept separated/sealed in their current storage].
I love the excitement shown in this video, reminds me of early times of g4 where theories would come up and it was so so so much fun to think about!

Honestly, I kind of don't care what this chest is at this point. They keep shoving random G4 objects that don't mean anything in the background since the movie. I feel like they wouldn't want to bring back such a convoluted plot from G4, when the whole point of rebooting the franchise was to welcome new viewers without them having to catch up with hundreds of previous episodes. Besides, Hasbro already promoted the hell out of the Middle Finger Castle. Surely they wouldn't just rehash an old toy, right? Right?
So for now I'll assume this is just another meaningless reference. Maybe it's a powerless replica, like Odin's Infinity Gauntlet in Thor: Ragnarok.

-> It is the "organic seedling" that Sandbar planted (×-1) thousands of years ago [in the exact same cave].
Unlike the Tree/Treehouse of Harmony, that plant could simply keep growing higher & higher as sediments slowly bury the ruins of the Castle of the Two Sisters undergrown.
We even have PROOF of this kind of natural landscsping cganges happening elsewhere in the show:
. When the Pilars went through Equestria seeking "dark places", they found that an infamous cavern from tjeir times had become Ghastly Gorge (its roof eroded after 10 centuries).
The Evetfree Forest, Ponyville & Sweet Apple Acres are located in a valley in between 3 mountains (Canterlot, the Diamond Dogs caves & the source of water of Ponyville's Dam & all its waterstreams/lakes). The erosion caused by wind, rain & snow on this higher places will create sand/rocks that would flow & set downstream. The fallen leaves, branches & dead trees will also generate soil.
-> Everything gets buried under dozens of meters each millenia.
There is no reason to believe only ONE thousand years have passed since G4.
-> Young dragons like Spike, Smolder & Ember would still be around.
Instead, there are subtle hints thst the ICE AGE that started in the times between Grogar & The Three Tribes (permafrost is the reason they have to abandon the once fertile lands of the Crystal Empire) finally ENDED a few centuries before G5 (flooding coastal cities like Manehattan & creating new ones like Maretime Bay).

I like to think that when Twilight moved to Canterlot, Starlight Glimmer stayed there and took care of it.

Weather has ALWAYS worked "naturally" everywhere in that planet.
Ponies simply started to "control" it by force (in the relatively small "country" that is Equestria), once unicorns dominated the Sun [the "powersource" of wind]; either shutting down or reinforcing massive air currents (that then pegasi could then "fine tune" into prefictable weather), for the porpouse of maximizing irrigation for crops (tended by esrth ponies).
-> NOTHING of that would matter with the three tribes separated.
The Moon is currently on a 10 years orbit around the planet.
-> The "Sun" is a city-sized artificial object in a half-synchronous orbit.
The planet of Equestria is a "rogue"; ejected from its original solar system by interaction with another star or black hole (or possibly teleported/gated into a random void as a desperate measure to avoid some cosmic destruction).
I actually agree with this theory it makes sense and it would be very interesting if it were true
For the record, Twilight told Starlight she could have the castle and the school in the season 9 premiere. Unlike Twilight, however, Starlight was a mortal unicorn, so she probably died and left the castle abandoned.

Well with the new episodes we see that sunny has a heart locket. That opened up when she was at her truest self. Cutie mark what ever. Then I’m the longer episode/movie with the aroacorns Izzy gets a crystal for being her true self and using that ti help them. If we get more episodes with similar plots then maybe it’ll tie into the chest?
Though thinking back in the long episode/movie it was still sunny who figured out how to free them in the end sooooo.
Also the castle did get destroyed and we don’t know what happened with the stuff in it. So maybe it’s just a cool Easter egg.
i think the chest BECAME the tree and that also might help your case for opaline unkeying them (ik i messed up on that)

The bits are the currency of Equestria for at least 1000+ years. There are thousands of millions of them bits scattered all over the realm. Good luck try to find which one is Applejack key.
I wonder if the "Season 10" comics will be tied in somehow with the Knights of Harmony. I hate for it to be just dropped. It was weird and yet cool. I still wish for them to take time to show the rest of the world.
I honestly need to take a read on them now-
Season 10 does some weird things, like I said. They do stuff that tie in things that broke canon in the comics. They also have one thing where find out that in universe that a bunch of comics were written by adult Spike and he takes a lot of artistic licence with the stories. So even if there were events that happened, we have no idea how they actually happened because Spike can't be depended to tell the truth.
But there is a lot of great stuff they do too with exploring the world outside of Equestria too. Like how in the Zebra lands, Unicorns and Pegasi were considered myths. Or that the Dimond Dogs are actually really good people and just have rogue packs out there causing trouble. Then there is Capper and the Feline race. They had twin tailed cats that can cast like Unicorns that went mysteriously extinct.

in my opinion, twilights castle got destroyed bc of the lost magic. or the castle got destroyed bc of opaline and the lost of the mane 6
this might be an opportunity to hasbro turn sunny into a princess, cuz she could try take that off of opaline's castle to restore the elements (video idea: what happend to the elements of harmony) and it would help her to find out about twi's past, and probably she would get her own castle, but yea, the fact that the chest is there means that its just an aleatory thing with probably no solution

Considering make your mark is over from what we have as of now I highly doubt it but if anything, the main six (including Misty )will have the keys at some point as their own items

Except the chest isn't with Opaline. Anyone who has looked at screenshots of G5's chest next to the genuine chest in G4 can tell you that.
Probbably the castle was given to starlight or the school of friendship but this is just a speculation
Maybe they are just duplicates. The mane 6 were very important historically BTW. Ponies just duplicated these important artifacts. Rest my case.

Sooo maybe Starlight Glimmer made a journal when she got turned to good about her life the good and the bad also in Starlight Glimmers Journal she may have mentioned how she stole cutie marks of ponys using a magic spell she used when she was not kind.... what if by some chance Opaline when she destroyed Cantalot or whatever against Twilight what if maybe Opaline found or got her hands on a Journal belonging or written by STARLIGHT GLIMMER that told of the spell or something that stole cutie marks that uncorns can use ????
With the special in november being SECRETS OF STARLIGHT..... it might be a hint that some secrets Starlight Glimmer wrote down in a Journal was found by Opaline ?????
This would explain why Opaline knew or knows how to steal cutie marks from ponys

I have a terrible theory in adventure time the lich hand fell and entered every universe what if one it fell in was equestria. He was such a danger that the only way to stop him was trap him and remove all magic from equestria, then without magic the tribes turned in each other. Twilight wanted magic to return one day when the lich is no longer a threat or abel to feed on the magic

UPDATE!! I've watched the 2 episodes of the finale and this is what I'm thinking... to retrieve Starswirls team from limbo, the mane 6 have to get an artefact that is important to each of them, for example(the first one they got), Starswirls diary. I'm wondering if the G5 mane 6 have to do the same to defeat a new Opaline shenanigan, or another monster the mane 6 had to fight. And the G4 mane 6 come back in some way or another to help, or give another message about what happened in the past.
After getting all of Starswirls teams items, they are placed on each pillar of the pon- henge, twilights spell is cast and each of them are resurrected from limbo. yada yada the pony of shadows is back too, they fight it blah blah everything is good again. but this made me think, yknow what looks like the pon-henge but WAY more likely to have survived by the time G5 takes place? the throne room in twilights castle, by the magic map!
I know this theory is a long shot but hopefully it peaks your interest!

Or… the chest is just an Easter egg and serves no relevance whatsoever. Argyle had plenty of G4 artifacts and they weren’t relevant to the story other than telling that Argyle was an explorer. Also, they were destroyed by Sprout.
Also at 8:35. Unfortunately, no explicit evidence shows that that pink tree is indeed the treehouse of harmony. Only one person “confirmed” it by a Twitter post afaik. You can’t just use words to confirm it. You gotta create an in-universe explanation to make that happen. That’s part of writing. Also that tree was never brought up again other than that one filly who told Sunny about it in one of the episodes.
Honestly it does make me wonder if the writers are leaving G4 stuff behind and make analysts believe that they will play a role. That’s just me though.
I’ve heard they can’t use certain G4 stuff because a lot of them are owned by Discovery, which is strange because Hasbro should own almost every asset. Though it has happened before when Lauren Faust was making G4. Marvel Studios has this same issue too. This is possibly why Celestia and Luna were never specifically name dropped when Opaline was talking about her past. However it is curious to see that they and Twilight did make a short cameo. I’ve heard they had to redesign Twi to her normal alicorn form because her tall form is copyrighted. I assume Hasbro lost the rights to some or many stuff after FIM ended.
I know this sounds like BS, but I it’s want to bring out an explanation. Even though I’m not an expert writer, it is frustrating to know that G5 leaves a lot more questions than answers.
Wonder if that applies to Cadance and Flurry Heart too as in they can’t use them too along with the Crystal Empire?
