Why can't the local leaders ask the government and the people responsible for the project to fence the entire area or block the hole. One of the precondition for the project should have been that after the extraction, the company would block the quarry and make the area safe. This should go as high as possible with the local government. Totally unnecessary death of a young man who had his life ahead of him.
Very unfortunate incident. With proper planning and leadership such excavated areas would be turned into fenced water reservoirs, dam or refilled with sand instead of becoming a death trap. May Rubangakene rest in Peace.
