Alcoholism, drug abuse, poverty, unemployment, and gender-based violence exacerbate mental health problems, while cultural beliefs favoring traditional healers hinder modern healthcare. Mismanagement of healthcare resources and disrupted services, due to the recent COVID-19 invasion of the world, further strain the system. Recommendations include increasing funding, training mental health professionals, expanding services to rural areas, launching awareness campaigns to reduce stigma, integrating mental health into primary healthcare, and combating corruption to ensure efficient resource management.
