Very good and interesting episode with all of these old GTi's, Europe vs Japan. Neutral handling for the Sunny and Golf who was underpowered, well done both. Tricky handling the Integra, oversteer under braking with turned wheels, perhaps it's the four wheel steering. 205 has the best handling in my eyes but very underpowered in this version. Cadett did everything wrong but the engine, locking wheels under braking, spin wheels under acceleration, endless understeer. Of course tyres are crappy on almost all of them. Please upload more episodes like this. Maybe something like Celica GT four, Sunny GTi-r, Evo i ii iii, Impreza GT, Lancia Integrale, Escort cosworth RS, Mazda 323 Gtr, Sierra cosworth. Thank you very much!
It's a Pulsar not a Sunny, and most those cars have been uploaded at some point bar the one car you mentioned I own, the Sierra Cosworth which was very rare in Japan
That 205 must be the Japanese spec, lower power with low comp and catalytic converter, 120bhp instead of the normal 130 bhp. Pulsar was impressive tho!
Yeah it said 120 PS in the specs listed, significantly down on power compared to the Pulsar/NX (same engine, 140 PS) and Integra (160 PS). A downside to being an older design from long before cats were required in Europe

This footage is incredibly good quality! I would never have beleived it was from 1990 if it weren't for the cars! The 205 GTi is worth a fortune now, most of the others you can pick up for peanuts....assuming you can still fine one! The Astra looked a bit dangerous in the corners :-0
Yes these are lower comp unleaded versions of the vw and 205.. But still that is 1 slow 205 .. should have done a low mid 16 400m .. Surprised the vw could keep up so well

From german cars Opel had the best engines for the horse power they were saying. I"ve raced my Honda against all german cars at the same power in straight lines and only Opel can keep up. Rest of them are jokes
i know you have a B13 in hand, but why didn't you have the B13 SUNNY GT-S and B13 NX Coupe together? they have both a SR18DE engine.. I own a 1996 Nissan SUNNY (SENTRA) B13
So it looks like the Euros are down on power.... the 205 gti 1.9 should be 130hp not 120.... the vw golfgti 16v should be 139 140hp not 125. the kadette gsi should have a bit more... may be japanese exhaust restrictions...

In Europe the Pulsar GTI (Sunny) had SR20DE with 143 hp
better specify that the European version was with naturally aspirated engine, the engine is the same as the turbo version on video

the pulsar gti is hard to find, most of the sport pulsars of that generation on the market are the gti-r (awd with sr20det)
この車、スペックは平凡だが、実際に走るとスペック以上だった!
エンジンは可変バルタイなど持たないオーソドックスなエンジンだけど、7000オーバーまでしっかり回り、発進加速はほぼ同等スペックのS13シルビア(2.0NA)より速く、EG6(1.6VTEC)とほぼ互角の速さ。
コーナー性能もよく、安定感高いが、それゆえに少し刺激が足りないと感じるかも!?
個人的に一番良いと感じたところは、ボディ剛性の高さ。
欠点は、特にハイテクメカなどなかったので、インパクトに欠けるところかな(GTI-Rがインパクトありすぎたからかも?)
大体ガンさんのコメント通りの車だと思います。
