This game is great. I can talk for hours about this game. its story, the plot, the puzzles, and the overlapping paths of the characters, which makes it truly one of the greatest video games in history. Perhaps the most important thing that can be said about this game is the intimate attachment to it, in one way or another you feel that something of it has get into you and something of you has gone into it. when i got to this point i knew right then and there Harrier Du Bois was sort of reborn (how i played him anyways) he quit alcohol, decided to play the good cop and has earned the respect and trust of kim kitsuragi, sure hes still eccentric and does weird stuff but no longer is he self destructive nor abusive to his brothers of the RCM.
I really hated that the game wouldn't let Harry forget The Apricot Chewing Gum Scented One. When that scene hit I wanted him to tell her to go to hell, to have Harry forget her and move on - but the game wouldn't let me.

Disco elysium was the response to a failed book if my memory serves me correctly. One of the lead devs wrote an unsuccessful (in terms of sales and reviews i believe) novel set in the same world and was inspired to create the story of disco because of this.
My wife left me after 11 years, 4 months later I played this game. ... Fuck, man, I don't know if I liked that part of the experience. I avoided talking about Harry's ex wife like a plague, I couldn't handle it. I guess the writing is that well made.
@@JesusProtects I also played it some time after a tough breakup that I still haven't recovered from. I was in tears when Harry met Dolores in the dreamscape. This encounter left me absolutely flabbergasted, every dialogue line was like another needle under my fingernail

Been trying to figure out where as well as I'm listening. The piano in particular is DEFINITELY played on its own somewhere else, but I can't recall where. It might just be on the island itself, but I think it's somewhere else personally. Might go looking through videos or load up saves to look for it

When I reached this scene Ruby ran off, Klaasje also ran off leaving a note and a connection behind that alluded to the killer, most of the Hardie boys were killed but thankfully me and Kim lived. I didn't have my gun so I just attempted negotiation, which I succeeded everything that I could to no avail.
Kim got shot in my game. Went to on the boat ride alone. Attaching the boombox to the boat caused the ride to bug that Harry would stand beside the boat the whole ride and it was not possible to save the game anymore after finishing the ride. If I went to sleep in the island the whole UI would disappear and stop working, completely breaking the game. Solution was to not attach the boombox to the boat.. avoided that bug.

I honestly wouldnt mind if this scene was the credits scene. overall the game was awesome, but the ending left something to be desired. Maybe a DLC or a sequal.

Kim got shot in my game. Went to on the boat ride alone. If I went to sleep in the island the whole UI would disappear and stop working, completely breaking the game. Solution was to not attach the boombox to the boat.. avoided that bug.
Update: UI disappearing was not bug though but intended thing...
spoiler/tip: If Kim is injured in your next playthrough, you don't have to go alone still. You can take another unexpected partner along with you.
