i remember listening to this when i was 12 with my sister and her fiance who had got back from the south pacific and my brother who had just came back from europe after being a prisoner of war for the past two years.thank you for sharing
The New 1946 Nash Ambassador! Hubba Hubba! Love these posts! Merry Christmas! My mother would have been 15 years old and might have listened to this broadcast.
The Andrews Sisters are always entertaining and it feels like Christmas in July now after listening to this radio show! But now I'll probably get on ebay to see if they have any Nash 600's for sale. Lol
Imagine the euphoria in people's hearts to hear the promo for the all-new Nash 600 automobile. After 4 painful years of war and rations, and no new civilian production after 1942, just knowing new cars were being made again would make everyone feel like the worst was truly over. Probably the most wonderful Christmas present one could have.
What a wonderful time to live in far as music and entertainment .. Such a large scale .,..thanks for posting this up..,..there is a video game ( Fall out 4) they have a song they sung ......(Lay that pistol down) that come on the radio
Hey OTR HALLOWEENHOLIDAZE, thanks for sharing this cool video/audio! I stumbled across some of your posts when I had been looking at some military flashmob videos. I'm LOVING listening! (But did you mean "Andrews Sisters"? You're missing an "N" in the title...sorry! I'm a nerd and I notice these things, lol).
fun commercials and the Andrews sisters music ages well but I prefer a little more Christmas music in my Christmas specials thanks though and happy new year
So fed up with television now taken to listening to old radio shows...love it.

Yes, they used a lot of these older songs in the game.
I was almost a year old, but i'l bet my Ma listened to this. She loved Christmas and the Andrews Sisters
Sounds like you had some great memories from the radio era. Christmas time on the radio sounded fascinating.
This was during the period when Patty, Maxine & LaVerne were on CBS' Wednesday night schedule at 10:30pm(et).
Love the Andrew Sisters
Thanks For Listening!
Wood 2x4s were used and bolted on the brackets.
I remember the new Nash car come out with no bumpers because of the lack of steel.
Fantastic piece of history. Would you mind correcting the spelling of this video? It should read Andrews Sisters. Love your channel, thanx!
Oh no, thanks! Always good to have some eagle eye listeners.
