I love how you can feel the emotion. The notes are one thing to learn, but talent is feeling the notes and projecting them to the audience. It’s really wonderful.

@@sillygirlcentral sometimes it can be hard to find pieces that suit your style, or they might be being held back by someone else. I have both of these problems lol

It’s pieces like this that remind however bad it gets, there is still magical sounding music out there. Now this is worth spending quarantine practicing 👌🏽 absolutely love this, gotta learn it
this is one flute but it sounds like a whole band after awhile because you can hear the other parts of the song in your head and that is SO creative. i love this so much
I have been listening to your peices. And personally as a flutist I love how use all the range that a flute can do You dont leave any room for what it could be doing. Who is the flute player playing it? I love the sounds!
If I'm right, this kind of playing requires a great deal of controlled release of the breath to articulate each of those nuanced slurs and those orders of the 8th notes. A divine composition and a virtuosic playing! Big respect to you both... The icing on the cake: I'm proud to disclose that the artist who plays this immense composition happens to be my nephew (a.ka. "the first cousin, once removed", grammatically speaking!)...
I watched Rama as he grew into a vibrant young talented musician. I expected no less from such a brilliant young man. He has a great future ahead of him. Such a glorious piece to show off his virtuosity.
This just makes me wanna play flute more and upgrade to a better flute I'm a junior who can't play scales but can play a sheet of music. This makes me wanna learn more about it and play more advanced things. I will absolutely show this to my band director I'm sure she'll love it.
I keep coming back to this work... last night I performed the vast majority of the Iroquois Suite to a live pub/variety talent and rowdy crowd and they went from loudy rowdy to silent and captivated by just a lone flute playing this beautiful music. For me, part of the beauty of this suite is that unusually for a solo performance piece for flute, it is entirely unaccompanied, meaning there is absolutely nowhere to hide! I hope I did it justice for Herman Beeftink. I will be preparing more Beeftink repertoire for the next performance event! I am thinking perhaps I'll prepare Dance of the of the Woods or all the parts for full score of Birds. Thank you once again for such beautiful compositions. ❤❤🎶🎶🎵🎵🙏🙏
This truthfully compelled me to attempt flute or bass flute, even if it is merely for a hobby, purely for their crystal and resplendent tone, though this would be rather difficult in addition to the other instruments I play.
@@HermanBeeftinkComposer This is a very late and awkward reply, but would it be possible to arrange this for a bassoonist? If convenient for you, of course.

I have watched your videos for years now! As a now flute performance major at my college I have decided I want to do this lovely piece for one of my recitals in the future!
I usually find it hard to find really good music since i need perfect pitched music else my brain hurts, but wow what a piece is this, both of the componist and flutist. I can really hear the notes flying with their wings off the paper, feathers flying and the air shifting softly as they fly and take you somewhere else...
I like everything you write, sir! Just found you a few days ago here on Yt, and started with your ensembles, really enjoying how you write well for all the flutes. Just found this solo work, and it's wonderful! I'm a doubler, so this will be a challenge for me, but do-able, and I love the modality of it! When the music is so well-written, I will work and work at it until I can play it, and the whole process will be a pleasure!

I think you would really enjoy a piece for Flute from a childhood game I played...it has this unique rhythm much like yours and offers a sort of jazzy improve feel to it along with an Asian tint of culture in it as well, I personally love it and you should check it out if you have time. It's called "the Islands theme" from LBP
This makes me think if I should take flute as a second instrument instead of guitar. I always have liked the bird-like sounds the flute makes, but strings are wonderful...and I have the feeling that wind instruments are hard. For now I'll just go practice my scales and think about it later. xD

I love how you can hear the breaths and you know it’s a real person and real talent, none of the off sounding computerized ‘flute’ sounds
