Good video, I have done a lot of clearing and burning with just a track loader. The excavator makes it a lot easier and more efficient for sure. That job would have been nearly impossible to do with just a loader unless it was during a dry spell. Back when I was doing a lot I had a home built burning machine that had a Cummins 6bt on it, I would blow through a piece of 24” ductile pipe. I would start it small just like you did and once I got a good pile of coals I could roll a BIG pile on it and run the blower just a little above idle and usually only get a lot of smoke for 5-10 minutes and then it would catch up with little smoke. I also like jobs that I can pile stuff to the side and let it dry for a while and it really does away with the smoke.
Charles that is a great idea to setup that blower like that. I’m sure it would burn it all up. I sure like clearing with the excavator it makes it a bit easier, like you said, to pile and burn… Thanks…
I’m jealous. They made it illegal to burn land clearing materials here . I found out the hard way years ago 😂. That’s why I have that big chipper now.
