I grew up in Chicago suburbs & always liked going into the city. I worked 5 years in the Wrigley building. Great times! I’ll never forget. I left in 1988 & went back to visit for years & had wonderful times! I always got my culture visiting Chicago! Miss those times in my life.
It is always nice to see the Prudential Building. Right there on the ground level is Travern On the Park where I have taken friends after coming from the Bean across the street there at Randolph. And I also love the Giordano's Pizza right close by as well.
Every time I have walked on Randolph Street there going west I always miss the Old Randolph Loop Station that was pulled down from right there at the corner of Wabash & Randolph (19:27). I see CTA has modified the Madison Loop Stop to make that look very nice.
I do like the stopping by the Panda Express restaurant right there underneath the famous turn of the Loop CTA trains up above you right there at Wabash & Lake. (22:36)
I’m glad that this video brought back some memories. Thanks for watching and sharing this. Chicago has so much character MF is one of my favorite cities in the world. And also deep dish pizza in there is the best. I tried Giordano’s close by and I really enjoyed every bite.
Wow Chicago Illinois such an amazing City I have been there 3 years ago back in April 2019 it was one of the best cities in Illinois I have ever been to I have family up in Illinois glad you had a good time there sending best wishes from Mercedes Texas
Actually it's the best city in Illinois hands down and many put it ahead of Manhattan NYC as best cleanest most beautiful city in the entire United States.
@Ghost Chicago is nicer than New York City because it's far less populated by 6 million less people. Chicago is easier to manage. The difference between New York City and Chicago is that Chicago is not a mega city and is very conservative compared to New York. New York City is a wilder city in it's activity vs Chicago because New York packs it's city with attractions that a midwest culture city like Chicago never thought of. For example New York City have a large broadway theater district and directly off of that is Times Square which is a big outdoor entertainment area. I lived in both NYC and Chicago. Chicago is a big relatively quiet and boring city. I know because I lived there for 5 years. Notice in the beginning of the video you saw no one Michigan Ave...and I mean no one!

Chicago should never be compared to NYC because New York is a really fast paced upbeat super megacity with 8.5 million people and far more complex than Chicago. If you say New York is not a complete city because of the 5 boroughs than go ahead and say the United States is not a country because of all the seperate states..lol 😂 I'm from east coast ( Philadelphia,) I found Chicago slow with southern culture. The skyscrapers threw me off at first until I realized Chicago is a White town with intensive Segregation like the south. I moved out because Chicago became boring for me. Nice real estate though.

Chicago is not packed with enough people , not enough history, not enough amenities and attractions to compared with the sole megacity of the USA which is New York City. A mega city has Multi millions in population and it's not that many across the world. Chicago is not a mega city and not even close. I take it that you're from Chicago?

I lived in both Chicago and NYC and the two cities are like night and day. They designed NYC without an abundance of alleys because the city needed more pedestrian venues. When I walked through the Garment district towards Times Square it's always a crowd of people. And trash is put out on the sidewalk for trash day... that's New York for you. I lived in Chicago for 5 years. It's big with skyscrapers but I found it relatively boring if you're not a person that likes to sit in a park or walk just to be walking in the city. Downtown Chicago really don't have any magnet attractions for it's citizens. Downtown Chicago is all about big business. Those skyscrapers belongs to large corporations that owned them. Chicago needs a large broadway style theater district, Chicago needs a big outdoor entertainment area like that of Times Square or Picadilly Circus. Chicago is not packed with stores and eateries in the Loop District which I find boring. I lived in Chicago for 5 years and found it midwest stuffy and a tab boring. I got over the skyscrapers and the Lake which was not enough to keep me there.

@@erickschiavone40 The city I compare Chicago with is Toronto which is equal in sq miles and population to Chicago. Toronto is more exciting overall as a city. There are so many Chicago nuts on UA-cam that go too far about Chicago. One guy was trying to convince me that Chicago was better than London and Paris. Now that's crazy because no way Chicago is better than those cities.

I will also say that Chicago has tons of shopping and eateries along state street and the mag mile and along the gold coast. The tons of bars for the nightlife setting. You also have the signature room and bar that gives magnificent views of the city. Another thing is Chicago downtown is cleaner than any of those cities you mentioned. Paris isn't all it's cracked up to be a trust me the only two wow factors to me about Paris is the Arc de trio and the louvre. Other than that Paris is quite boring. The Eiffel tower is very old and rusty. I would definitely rank Paris last from all cities mentioned. Toronto is really nice the CN tower is similar to Chicago signature room with gorgeous views of the city and the restaurant rotates for a 360 view. Lots of shopping and clean but I still will put Chicago ahead of it by just a hair. However if we are going by just things to do in these cities here's my rankings.1) London, 2)NYC, 3) Chicago, 4) Toronto, 5) Paris and that's in a distance from the other 4. The cleanest downtowns are 1) Chicago 2) London 3) Toronto, 4) Paris 5) NYC by far is the dirtiest. If you aren't careful walking in Paris it can be easy to step in dog 💩. I've done it and it isn't fun as locals there don't know how to clean up after their dogs.
Not enough mask wearing … otherwise was nice to see a familiar home for me until you spent 8 minutes filming the Infidel trumps hotel. Ruined the entire experience for me.
