I lived in Hancock Park adjacent (Orange Drive) in the late 80s and used to go jogging through Hancock Park at night, just after sunset. It was so peaceful, lush, and elegant there. It was hard to believe you were smack dab in the middle of the biggest, most traffic-intensive city in America. I'm 59 now, and having travelled across country and around the world, Hancock Park still ranks as my all-time favorite neighborhood.

I never see anyone actually living in and enjoying those expensive homes on the Strand. Guess they are just private equity owned, or owned by really rich people who have 10 - 20 other homes.
