Absolutely incredible how he can sing this without crying. Every time I've tried to sing this from start to finish, my voice shakes and I end up choking in tears... Takes a lot of strength, this song.
I love the moment when Brad just tried to tune his guitar, and Chester was there smiling and talking. And Chester forgot his words and asked everybody to sing along. The Messenger is a love song, but it’s a truly moving song. We never notice these moments and now they all seem precious to everyone. Keep singing this song, pass the power to every soldier. "The Messenger" is the only acoustic song ever written by Linkin Park. The song is very mellow, the guitar is very soothing filled with husky vocals. On February 22, 2011, at a press conference in California, Chester Benington (Linkin Park vocalist) said that this song is for teenagers. He added that teenagers sometimes grow into adults and things can get tough, so finding a home is the only answer for them to live.

I like how this song is better live than the studio version. Even the guitar strumming is better. Most songs aren't like that. LP is always better live.
I see what you mean, I really don't like the studio version at all for some reason. I feel like it's a bit too harsh for an acoustic song in the studio version
Aww. I really love the studio version. It definitely is a lot more harsh -- but I feel like that's what makes it so magical. It's so -- raw. The emotions are so unhinged and that's what really makes it beautifully stunning, to me.
Sorry but I think you haven't heard this song's studio version....This is a amazing performance by Chester no doubt , but still the studio version is 10 times better..... I first heard the studio version of this song almost 5 years ago.... Still, this song gives me chills, when I listen it now....
+Sean Lee more like he practiced and has a good warm up probably, he got it himself and most likely wasnt that good when he very first started, the voice is built to do that

I also follow a lot of what his sister said in previous interviews that you won't be able to find in too many places but I have this UA-cam channel that I follow did you know that Chester almost committed suicide with a shotgun at 11 years old this is coming from his sister's mouth I have learned a lot of information. @@555goca I totally agree with you, Chester would not want to commit suicide to himself cuz he was so excited about his latest album and working alongside Chris Cornell in the foundation that protects children affected by pedophilia and coincidentally they die the same year...it's completly absurd but, like it or not,he is in a better place.
God is a beautiful God , and although some of the strictest Christians would debate him going to heaven straight away. I , myself a devote Christian believes god took his soul to heaven straight away. The Guy suffered his whole life , and helped those who suffered also . God sees and feels his pain . He is in heaven now, looking down on all the positive things he has helped create . God bless you Chester , I’ll be seeing you again some day ❤️
First off i love the lyics and Chester's voice is on point and beautiful in this video. Second the fans helping Chester out with the lyrics is amazing moment. Thanks for this treasure of a moment. all the best to everyone.
we'll never see another man / singer like him. God his voice and his talents are incredible,it is so rare to see someone being even better in live or even acapella than in studio version; but more than that he stayed such an humble and lovely man till the end. He changed life of so many people around the globe just by the sound of his voice and the message he and the other guys sent. I discovered LP when I was about 14/15 (i am 28 now), when I was building my personality and who I am today. LP was the first music band I told to myself "I love that, I want to listen to more of it" and they opened the door to rock music to me. I love to think they also played a role in who i am now, their lyrics, messages, it touched me on different level at different parts of my life. Today I listen to so many different bands, but LP is the only one I always come back to on a regular basis. Live in Texas is to me the best album ever and i'll never get tired of it. My only regret is that I never had the chance to see them live, it might be selfish but it makes me real sad that I will never be able to experience them in front of me. I'm proud to be a part of their fan, there is no other band that has / had this impact on the world, to me at least. This song and his smile made me so emotional I wasn't expecting that. I do not believe in god, but whatever is the truth I hope Chester is finally in peace, he deserved better but no one can change that.
This is legitimately one of his best vocal performances ever

Khine Khine it is, Chester’s voice was better without a microphone.
i would have to agree with you on this one

Both are great to me. I listen to one for a while and then switch it up. They are just plain awesome.

Most underrated of Chesters many beautiful stories. ❤
Chills!! The way his voice still rang out over the crowd... 🥺 such an amazing and talented artist.
GOD give that voice.
+Sean Lee more like he practiced and has a good warm up probably, he got it himself and most likely wasnt that good when he very first started, the voice is built to do that
+xMiyazakiAkira but people are born with great voices too, never heard of natural talent?
+Matheus Eduardo Chester grew up playing in his local theatre so technically it is both..
we all will miss his voice
GOD give that voice.
YES.
miss him already ;(
Andriya Rainstorm everyone does
Chester has such an outstanding voice. He is one of my vocalist idols. Love his voice!
Как же жалко когда так рано уходят такие таланты((😢
2020 has just begun. Currently 3 pm on a Monday. I sit here, at work, listening to Chester sing as I try to keep my tears inside.
I love this!
And its so camp-fire and Christmas Carol-like when everyone starts singing! :') hahaha!!
there you go
lol campfire. True!
damn he sings like an angel
mr. tamsaling he is one
I will never forgot you, Chester :(
I remember listening to this 7 years ago, I was mesmerized by this acoustic version. Now listening after so many years the feeling is the same.
I promise you, he did not "forget" the lyrics 😂 he wanted the audience to participate. 😊 So cool 😎 Amazing you got to be there! ❤
I hope where ever he is he still sings his soul out and will always remember you as a idol as a friend and as a motivation for life.
And to everyone who is suffering from depression please stay strong and always remember some one always loves you ...
That voice is a gift from the gods. Thank you Chester for sharing it. Rest well you are dearly missed.
Am watching this in 2022 And Chester still lives on in our hearts, never forgotten x
He always will
Almost 2 years since the day you left. I still cant believe it. Most beautiful voice I ever heard, realest feelings put in every word. One of the greatest artists of our generation.
I miss u every day.
I miss him too ❤
Sweet Jesus take him into your loving arms. He is your angel. Forgive him and love him. Because he gave us. His soul with his voice .So yes, we have recordings and videos to watch of him singing with his beautiful Angelic voice. But also he left us his soul. Rest in peace Chester I love you.
If the god in whom I believe does exist, he would never let Chester die for ever, because he saved a lot of others suffering like him. I am alive because of him and that’s an act of pure love. People who love like Chester can never be unforgivable.
Verica z-I share the same feeling with you and right now I am writing and crying at the same time becouse Chester was someone who changed a great part of my life with his music and way to be as human being unique, and I pray for him as well..Rest In Peace my dear angel
I won't forget you ches
@@henrysoza6591 awe Now you're making me cry again it's so true all the pain that that man suffered.. I can't even imagine but I do imagine it.. and that is a problem and when I hear him sing the words and when he screens I literally feel what he feels and I get Flash images of what he went through... I also follow a lot of what his sister said in previous interviews that you won't be able to find in too many places but I have this UA-cam channel that I follow did you know that Chester almost committed suicide with a shotgun at 11 years old this is coming from his sister's mouth I have learned a lot of information. I know too much detail and that is why I understand what he went through... its absolutely Horrible and I do not believe that he took his own life... If you feel like talking to me let me know
@@555goca I totally agree with you, Chester would not want to commit suicide to himself cuz he was so excited about his latest album and working alongside Chris Cornell in the foundation that protects children affected by pedophilia and coincidentally they die the same year...it's completly absurd but, like it or not,he is in a better place.
God bless you Chester , I’ll be seeing you again some day ❤️
his voice
when he forgot the lyrics and the crowd helped him. awww😍😍😍
First off i love the lyics and Chester's voice is on point and beautiful in this video. Second the fans helping Chester out with the lyrics is amazing moment. Thanks for this treasure of a moment. all the best to everyone.
The way he ended that vibrato at the end is just.... ❤🩹
2020 and Chester still gets me through the darkest of days ! I love you Chester Bennington 🖤
we'll never see another man / singer like him. I do not believe in god, but whatever is the truth I hope Chester is finally in peace, he deserved better but no one can change that.
now this is emotional
God please bring back this man. How i wish depression was not a thing.
😢 como extraño esos momentos 😢 que desgraciadamente no volveran pero estoy muy feliz de que nos hayan dejado esa hermosura 😍😍 de herencia ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
chester graced us with his music. we grace chester by never forgetting him 🖤
