Anyone in 2024 ? ❤
Yes of course babycakes 😊
Yea, that’s a time machine
Suddenly I had the urge to listen to this song today!
2024 I listen to his music everyday
Never left 💚
Imagine writing a song so iconic you just walk into a train station and start playing and the crowd knows the whole song by heart
Im sure they'd have known a few more songs too.
Coz it's a gig lol
I’m working on a song like this ok, give me time lol
if you pay me a dollar i will imagine it 😉
Best comment ever. My favorite band. Crawling ❤
Watch how Mike just looks and smiles at Chester throughout, he loved him. Rip Chester ❤️❤️
yeah。its around 1:30 lovely looks
btw Chester remember Mikes lines but forget his lines like i put my trust in you🤣🤣
Mike is a legend..He deserved all the success that Chester had but he let it go
Makes me cry ❤
2000s never will forgotten.
You can see Mike knows how much this means to Chester. All he wants is his friend to know how much he is loved and it feels like Chester never really knew or believed it. You can see as well how grateful Mike is to the fans for showing Chester just how much appreciation and love they have for him and the band. The whole situation Its just so sad🥺🥺🥺
fully correct ! I think Chester realised what an impact he had on people, but it put a lot of pressure on his both fragile and strong shoulders. I think it scared him, he felt as if he wasn't able to live up to a certain standard certain people set for him. Although we as fans always loved (and will love) him for who he was. A gentle, caring and humble soul, a loving father who openly spoke about his struggles...Struggles, traumas and persistent demons he unfortunately had to deal with since childhood/youth. Such a pity he took the decision to end it all...
nope he knew chester was going to be suicided
wrong emoji tho.
Yall dont know shit Chester didnt kill himself. Neither did Chris Cornell.
There is an interview where Chester explains very well what goes on in his head. It's very sad, but tremendously true and sincere.
"It's like there's another Chester inside of me telling me I'm worthless, that I'm an idiot, dragging me down"
"When I sing in a crowd I don't see everyone who appreciates and loves me, I only see the one person in the crowd who gives me the wrong looks, and my mind goes into a crisis and I ask myself Why don't you like me? Why don't you do you appreciate me?
This is depression."
From these words of his you can understand why.
Boss:
- So, what's your excuse to be 2 hours late on work?
+ Well It's hard to explain
+Well it's hard to explain, I've been in a crowd like "somewhere I belong" "but in the end it doesn't even matter"...
Ur lucky I made it 2 work
...In The End...it doesn't even matter.
HAHAHAA.. DANG MAN
No it isnt i mean it is a reason good enough to skip finals
Mike's continuous smile is breaking my heart.
I saw the Same thing .... broke my heart man...
He's doing much better than he was. We can be thankful and smile for that.
Very true man! God bless him
He just looks so happy. I feel so bad for him.
That's the problem with a depressive peoples. One day they look like at the top, but the next day...:-(.
Lady in the pink jacket not being able to hold back her emotions as the crowd gets truly swept up in the song (the 2:41 mark). Love it
Yea but she was out done by the lady in black without any emotions. How can you hear and view this without knowing any words. She had the cheek to clap at the end like she felt anything.
@@lifeavoiditWhat about the guy in sky blue? most boring person ever.
She’s me everytime I watch this video 😢
@@azurevie Sky blue didn't even clap and seemed annoyed.
@@thumpertorque_ because he was there bodyguard/security personnel
This shit gives me goosebumps every time. While it's such a sad situation, I find myself coming back to watch this every once in a while to remind myself that I'm not alone and just because the people next to you rock a smile doesn't mean they aren't possibly feeling as down and out as you are. Much love to everyone going through the struggle!
It is just you had said man. Sometimes is healthier cry once in a while than being with an artiffical smile while you are falling apart in the deep.
This world is not as good to be always smiling, but is our task to improve it, one step at the time.
Me too... Often I don't even have to hear it (with my ears)
I get whole body chills, deep enjoyment / relief in my thoughts,
with this (band) playing in my head... The DJ is good ;
Rest in Peace, Chester.. One of the most amazing souls to ever live..
What it is to be human.
I miss his music so much
But while he lived he committed suicide How is that amazing... Please don't take this as disrespect but committing suicide is not cool
He actually died for .... Save the children
He died two months later to that same date
Mike looking and smiling at Chester singing with audience. 😭 We miss you, Chester. You will always be my hero.
Sure a lot of ppl gonna disagree with me. I love linkin park and love chester, since their first album.. BUT the Last interview with him i watched before his death he talked about how he loves his children and how much he loves being around them and then after a few weeks he committing suicide.... He is NO hero, who left his children without a father.....
@@edinen8491 well, he is a hero to me because his voice and LP's songs kept me going. He is my hero, and a hero to many. Although his life ended unexpectedly, I'm pretty sure he loved his kids so much and would want to see them grow up, but when depression fucks with you, there's just no way out man. It's literally you against your own mind. Depression sucks ass. But his legacy will always be remembered.
@@edinen8491 for anyone to call someone a coward for committing suicide has never personally suffered from mental illness and shouldn't be talking on the subject.
@@andrewcable2494 Just this. Its 2020 and there is still such ignorance/taboo around mental health. Thanks for being one of the folks who understands. It matters to so many.
@@edinen8491 such a cliché thing to say. Got nothing to do with being a coward.
Mike’s smile says it all
My biggest regret is not going to any of Linkin Park’s live shows
Same
Damn i feel your comment. I always told myself „someday i‘ll go.
Same they have been so many times just next to my home. What a shame
you still can lol
Was gonna go to my very first linkin park concert ever i had tickets and eveything then he passed 2 monthe before RIP Chester
The way Mike was looking at him and just smiling says a lot.
Yea its so sad that chester left his happy family behind :(
Exactly the same thoughts 😖
He truly loved him.
Imagine being so utterly depressed and lost that he could go outside in the world everyday and pretend like "everything is fine" but knowing it was far from!
Makes me cry!
Mike wrote this song in like one night. It must be quite a feeling to see your brain child live on in the brains of multiple generations of people. Mike is a genius. I used to be hopelessly in love with Chester when I was a teen but the older I get, the more I appreciate Mr Shinoda.
And of course what happened to Chester is a tragedy. May God rest his soul. It is unfair how much baggage he carried with him throughout his life. At the peak of his life, he literally had it all, but in the end it didn't even matter.
RIP Chester.... After seeing this. How can you not want to stay alive! This is so good and i know Chester is watching us from the heavens!
you know you are a legend when you have the crowd to sing the whole song :)
And what did that mean?
@@Van_bya_river means they are special because people know all the words to their songs
@@nick421 yeah I know. I was drunk and angry when I wrote that. What I meant was what did it mean to Chester? All that fame and anything you could think of and he still was alone.
@@Van_bya_river Just read the first comment written under this vid and think about that. ua-cam.com/video/xC2s4HAWoXA/v-deo.html

I'm listening this on 2020, rip Chester

@Clean Cutz oh rip this is sad
02/12/2020. R.I.P. Chester. Your music help beat my demons.
I love how Mike looks at Chester with such admiration and love for his friend. You'll forever be missed Chester. Linkin Parks hybrid theory got me through some dark times and still to this day its my go to album. Love you all ❤️
No matter how long Chester left us, Linkin Park will always be a part of my soul...
Get yourself a friend that smiles at you like how Mike smiles at Chester.
Mike wo Chester is instruments, Chester wo Mike is Acapella.
I loved watching his reaction. It's like he knew how sad he was outside of this and loved to see his best friend so happy. That shit warmed my heart bro
You want me dead?!
I am this friend 😊👍🏼
:')
The older I get, the more this song becomes relevant. RIP bro.
He's reading your comment and smiling
For reals and I used to hate listening growing up. Now sometimes when I hear them, my eye's tear up. RIP. Chester
You should listen to the lyrics of mmmbop.
Mario Bargonetti was
Isn’t that the truth. Ironically you have to live through it to understand the relevance.
Love when he has to ask mike for the next line
All those voices raised together shows how universal these words, these feelings are.
GOD DAMN IT. Just look at Mike staring at Chester with pure care and enjoyment. Chester really was a light in everyone's hearts
And yet Chester lost his own light 😢
@@potfernandez2488 This is proof that one can have such a bad illness that all this stuff just can't cure. 😔 RIP
Watching this on 2017 still fresh cry
And that voice is incredible.
Just posted a similar comment seeing the same thing. It's beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time
The way Mike looks at Chester in this...
You are truly missed...
In almost every video you can always catch Mike look to Chester with complete admiration. I feel for Mike as well as Chester
Chris & Chaz they both struggled with similar demons. I'm sure it gave each of them strength when they saw each other pushing through each day and trying to stay positive. I'm sure it impacted Chester tremendously when Chris gave into his overwhelming depression. I hope all people start taking depression and mental illness more seriously and talk openly about it. I'm not sure that Chris Cornell was on the kinds of meds that would help him effectively and I don't know whether Chester was being treated with helpful meds either. They were both amazing people and artists and will always be greatly missed.
the girl in the back with the pink crying I feel you girl
*He saved millions Lives... we never forget it. All Of Them. Thank You Chester & Linkin Park For Everythings. 1996 To Present.*
The smile on mike's face....
somesh varadkar he looks at Chester lovingly like a brother
Paul Fuller drum study yeah...He does
That was my favorite part of the video. Seeing how much he adored him, and Chester just rocking right along. So proud of Mike and the others. Keeping the music alive ✌🏼💛🎶
He was loving this moment just as much as the crowd.
Brilliant. A talent lost .
One of my biggest sorrow in life is the fact that I'll never get to see Chester perform live.
I had tickets to see him a week after his tragic mishap.
same here bro

For real dude. Exact the same feeling! DAMN
My boss: You’re late!
Me: I tried so hard and got so far. But in the end there was Linkin Park at the station 🥺
If I was the boss. I'd have given him/her 1 day salary as a bonus 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Amazing 🤣 ❤🙏🌠
🤣😅😂
My Boss could suck my Wang, if Linkin Park were playing at my Station
For real though
I keep coming back to this, when I’m sad, when I’m lost, when I’m occasionally happy - what a wonderful talent he was, and what a loss to the world
I will never not get chills watching this song live and the "I put my trust..." part kicks in! Tears nearly.
When everyone starts rapping, Mike's face is like a proud father witnessing his children succeed.
twiggy695 haha hell yeah
Great comment
Mike's such a cutie!! ^_^
Ikr, he always looks like a proud dad 😂
So true. I think he also, in that raw, intimate setting id seeing up close the once in a lifetime specialness between Chester and their fans.
Looking back, and seeing how Mike is always looking at Chester like he is saying "see? dont this make you happy? people still love us, they still like our music, we still have a place". It's like they were trying to prevent what was yet to happen. R.I.P. Chester, we love you
Depression has nothing to do with believing or seeing or feeling the appreciation. He knew all the love from his fans and he really enjoyed it. But depression pulls you down, you are drowning and you are not able to defend bad feelings. It’s nothing you do concisely, it’s overwhelming you completely. Chester was always a funny guy, joking around, trying to tell everyone how enjoyable life is. But his mind was playing him until he saw no other way to defend his bad feelings than to end his life. 😢
@@deadlys2009 so true
damn.... seriously damn....
as someone who is currently going through what chester is going through it sucks. I know people love me but it doesn't matter when everyday you wake up and feeling miserable....
@@taylorhill6913 lost my job recently haven't eating in over a week so im struggling financially really bad :(
I hope that Chester knew that, in the end, he was loved. Far more than he could ever know. He was loved. We miss you, Chester. I hope you found your peace. ❤
to me, this is their greatest performance
edit: as I come back to this again and again, I try to put myself in Chester's shoes even though I know it's frivolous. Still, I like to think for a moment that it must feel good for him to show up at some rando subway station and have so many people sing along; not a concert where it might be expected, but a freaking subway station.
This should be called; "Everybody in the subway sings a Linkin Park song, because Linkin Park was there with some instruments and a microphone."
Man I miss Chester, just the thought of never having any new music from him sucks.
@@zachwood4289 Agreed, but there is people like me who also struggled and are still here partly thanks to his music. I know many people whose life was impacted by his music and that will live on. May he R.I.P.

I know legends never die, but I really wish that you'd be still alive to sing this live with you with all my heart and soul, rest forever in peace legend.
Depressed people are some of the happiest people(On the surface) that you will ever meet... I speak from experience.. putting on a happy face is easier than burdening others with your depression. R.I.P Chester. Saved so many of his fans, but In The End we couldn't save him.
So true
Damn! What you wrote, hits so close to home. 🙏🙌
You are so very right! Its a very big mask that we put on to the world. Sometimes we tell ourselves we are happy and it shows on appearances but, inside we are dying slowly but surely and most importantly we cannot express the words to others. Depression is unexplainable and mostly so misunderstood until you have actually gone thru it yourself!!!

Sheesh so many goosebumps.. i remember buying their first 2 cds when they came out. I was in 8th grade. Such a different time back then so much love and none of this hypersensitivity and entitled elements we live in now. Miss the old days smh rip to the legend himself.
"But in the end, it doesn't even matter how hard you try". But what really mattered is how many you helped and touched through all these years. We'll always love you Chester, I hope you found peace, 'in the end"
I like how Mike Shinoda kept smiling all the time, like, "dude, they know the whole song". ofcourse. RIP Chester
He looks so happy here, my heart break :(
Fairy Peary Exactly. Look at the people here. Had any of them ever thought he would die two months later by committing suicide.
Fairy Peary i agree
I disagree ..In recent years he has been more sad than before.
There's new evidence being slowly leaked out that he was murdered. Nobody leaves this Earth without leaving a suicide note whom Fathers 6 kids, and is a Godfather to your best friend's children without saying something in writing before you go.
ESPECIALLY, one of the most gifted and talented poetic songwriters ever in Chester Bennington.
He would say something in writing. I'm a musician... a Musician would do that for family.
Cornell and Bennington supposedly hung themselves with a Stretchy Arm Band Workout. Give me a break.
So many celebrity dying off like flies, nobody bats an eye... People are so blind to see the Elites at top are keeping people shut. Does nobody even have a clue Marylin Monroe was murdered by the CIA which is in documentation.
Rest in Peace Chester... you were truly the best and most honest loving person in the Music Industry.
This was 2 days before Cornell's death. After Chris Cornell died, Chester had this blank expression in all his interviews and concerts.
Legendary. What a beautiful memory to carry.
Thank you for the music... it kept me sane.... much love from across the eternal seas!!
It's so overwhelming watching it and know that Chester is gone. He looks happy, but you never really know, how one deals with his demons. RIP my brother, you're missed.
Well said. For the pain and darkness to be worse than everything he had to keep him here must have been unimaginable.
He was definitely happy in this moment
This was two days before Chris Cornell died, so it explains why they all seem so happy. Not saying that they weren't as happy after Chris died but it really took a toll on Chester. RIP to both Chester and Chris 😕
Niko K so sad....so fucking sad 😢 you are missed chester
If he had demons he could have handled them through Christ. God saves!
So symbolic: as soon as Chester sings his last word from the song, the train behind him starts moving and disappears in darkness.
RIP Bro
waa,, i didnt realize that
What else is symbolic is that the words of this song, written by Mike btw, describe Chester's life and it's tragic end. :(
Everyone on those people in the subway were blessed to see you and the band
I'll never get tired of this video. Gone way too soon. Miss ya Chester.
From the smile Mike constantly wearing while looking at Chester, I can feel how proud Mike is to see his dearest friend shining like a star. Mike is such a warm-hearted guy. I can't imagine how hard it is for him to overcome the loss of Chester......I'm crying.

This is eerie to me because Chester takes his life just two months after this. He seems so energetic and full of life here but he's really hiding so much pain and suffering. Depression sucks. RIP Chester Bennington. Much love to him and his family. Love to Linkin Park. Love to NYC. And special love to everybody putting up a front to appear normal while being sad.
